Formed in 1994 by Bob Becker, Fearless Records initially became known for launching the careers of respected punk rock acts such as Plain White T's, At The Drive-In, Bigwig, The Aquabats, and Sugarcult. In recent years, the Huntington Beach, CA label has become an internationally-renowned hotbed for up-and-coming rock bands, including Breathe Carolina, The Maine, Mayday Parade, The Word Alive, Motionless In White, Alesana and Every Avenue. The label recently signed multi-platinum act EVE 6. Fearless Records is also home to the "Punk Goes Series," which is one of the top themed compilation series available.

David Harness is one of the most popular DJ/producers in the San Francisco Bay Area club scene. He has been described as ‘a man who lives, breathes and emanates everything that is beautiful about deep house music and classic garage.’ David is considered a ‘rising star’ within the dance community.’ With influences varying from Barry White and the Love Unlimited Orchestra, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Quincy Jones, the Jackson Five, Stevie Wonder, Parliament Funkadelic, the Isley Brothers and First Choice, among others it's easy to see why funk and soul have always been strong elements in his sound. In 1990, David began DJ’ing at the After Dark in his hometown of Monterey, California. As his popularity grew past the boundaries of Monterey, he was invited to establish a residency at Tilt and the Sound Factory in San Francisco. 

1994, David opened and DJ’ed at the popular club Lift at Club Dv8 (today known as Temple) in San Francisco. His success as a club DJ led to a DJ spot on commercial radio.  David joined the popular radio show Your Mama’s House on the San Francisco Bay Area’s number one radio station 106KMEL FM. Your Mama’s House was the only ‘true’ house mix show on any major radio station in Northern California. As part of the Your Mama’s House crew, David played a key role in exposing the masses to House Music in the San Francisco Bay Area till 1999. 

1995 David kicked off a seven year residency at San Francisco ‘s legendary Club Universe — San Francisco’s hottest Saturday night party. At Club Universe, David had the opportunity to play with many legendary DJs like Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Little Louie Vega, Tedd Patterson, Dave Morales, Danny Teneglia, London’s Simon Dunmore & Aaron Ross, Los Angeles’ Marques Wyatt, San Francisco’s Miguel Migs, Mark Farina and Kaskade, Quentin Harris, Dennis Ferrer, DJ Spen, Timmy Regisford, Doc Martin, Osunlade, Danny Krivit, Joe Clausell, Derrick Carter Mr. V, Kenny Dope, DJ Spinna— just to name a few. His growing popularity accelerated David’s natural progression into production.  In 1998, he released a CD for Universe Sounds and Twisted America, ‘Welcome to the Universe’. This innovative CD, recorded live from Club Universe, reflects San Francisco’s unique ‘sound’ and introduced the world to David Harness. Recognizing his talent, Twisted America quickly signed him to produce his first single, ‘Get It Together’, for a Twisted America compilation entitled ‘A Little Bit of the Old, A Lot of the New’.  In 1999, David started Taboo in San Francisco’s Mission District. Taboo started out of David’s love of House music and his desire to provide a showcase for Bay Area talent as well as internationally known DJs. Now in Oakland, this ongoing monthly party attracts a loyal crowd of househeads from around the San Francisco Bay Area and the globe to the this blending of spirit and soul.

September 2000, David launched DHJ Productions and has established himself as a respected producer and remixer. To date, David has worked on projects featuring artists such as Mary J. Blige, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Simply Red, Alicia Keys, Floetry, Donnie McClurkin, India Arie, *NSYNC, and Donnell Jones, Ann Nesby, Anane, Barbara Tucker, Inaya Day, Shea Soul, Dawn Tallman, Heidi Vogel, Yoko Ono, Roland Clark as well as remixing for labels Defected, Kings Street, Vega Records, Foliage, Quantize Recordings, Making Moves, Tribe Records, Look At You, Yellorange/Tony Records, Chez, Slaag, Bargrooves.  He is a partner in the Moulton Music label and divides his production time between his solo work and co-productions with Harlum Muziq (co-productions with Chris Lum).  David is also affiliated with Loveslap Recordings label releasing 2 cd's Loveslapped Vol2, & Heartbeat, as well as original production and remixes for the label. David Has performed at Coachella, Southport Weekender, Outside Lands, Pride Festival (SF-1995-2011, Oakland-2011/2012), Nextaid Benefit, Macy's Passport, and countless clubs and event around the globe.  




BB Hayes Bio

DJ/Producer/Artist BB Hayes is a legendary music innovator who was a guiding member in establishing the San Francisco Bay Area underground club renaissance starting in the early 90s.  Starting in 1986 he spent his early days playing at the hottest San Jose club DB Coopers and mixing for radio stations like Hot 97.7 and Wild 94.9 FM and eventually featured on seminal weekend late night mix shows like St. John’s House Nation to working alongside legendary remixer the late Cameron Paul. Hayes quickly expanded his talents to remixing where he worked alongside Paul producing remixes for the DJ-Promo services Mixx-It and Wicked Mix and eventually starting his own called Monster Mix. 
By 1995 Hayes was headlining all of the largest clubs and parties in the San Francisco Bay Area, holding down residencies at the legendary DNA Lounge then owned by famous Hollywood brothers John and comedian/actor Rob Schneider as well as 1015 Folsom and the newly established but soon to be iconic Ruby Skye. BB’s eclectic style of house music set the standard for Ruby Skye’s success and allowed him to play for countless private events for such luminaries as Prince & Robin Williams. 
In 2011 Hayes stepped away from DJ-ing and production to focus on his family and sobriety.  In 2017 he was back on track after resetting his life to begin a new sober quest as an artist.  Hayes started on the first of several new projects including the 2017 album “Stereophonic Sound” 
Inspired by his love for Sci-Fi films with his new found passion for production, Hayes kicks off 2019 with “Disclosure,” a six-track alien themed EP, and it’s first single “Phoenix Lights” released on the Swishcraft label featured the vocals of the late Lady Abstract (Patricia Rebalizza) who unfortunately passed away shortly after the tracks recording. “Phoenix Lights” is a skillfully produced peak time Electro House track that takes its inspiration from the largest mass UFO sighting observed in the skies over the Arizona, Nevada and the Mexican State of Sonora on March 13, 1997, known as the “Phoenix Lights”. The second release from Disclosure was called “Anunnaki” and released on Vudeux Records.
In 2020 San Francisco Bay Area legend BB Hayes follows up his underground dance floor hit “Phoenix Lights” with a peak time, Tech House track that’s sure to become a Covid-Classic. “Remain in the House” is complete with a 30/40s style air raid siren and vocal warning over a driving Tech House beat and an ever-present ticking clock pulsates with eery synth stabs and an overarching sense of urgency.
During the pandemic his long time friend and Grammy nominated producer Jay-J became a mentor.  Already in 2021 BB has released 3 remixes for another mentor, the Originator of House music Jesse Saunders.  “Don’t Stop,” “Deeper,” and the 35 year anniversary remixes of “It’s OK” released on Jesses label Broken Records are topping the charts.

In 2022 after taking his skills to a whole new level BB has teamed up with the incredible vocal talents of Jemma Jones on two songs being released on the Swishcraft Label, “Live your Life” and “How Long”.  One is a completely original production and one is a cover of the 1974 classic rock hit by Ace and also features the musical talents of Greg Camp (Smash Mouth) and the talented Henry Navarro (SF legend)  

BB is pure artist.  That’s why he is one of the finest talents ever to come out of San Francisco.  He strives to be his best and his performance is simply amazing!  Expect more great things for many years to come from BB Hayes!
