Music and theatre collide in this intimate and poignant new show from Phillip McMahon (writer of Alice in Funderland) and Mark Palmer (songwriter with the band Life After Modelling). The world premiere of this new work will take place on 25 Sept(previews 24 Sept) in Project Arts Centre as part of Dublin Theatre Festival.

A gutsy love story that keeps you moving forwards when you think you’re falling backwards, I’m Your Man is a musical journey from death to new life – a roadmap back from rock bottom. You’ve overcome obstacles, battled inner demons and had your heart smashed into a million pieces in order to seek out the true love of your life – a love that you always felt but never believed possible; a love that you always hoped for but never dared acknowledge, for fear of what it might ask of you. Can love bring us back to life? 
The cast who both play and perform the new music live on stage includes Alma Kelliher, Adam Matthews, Ruth McGill, Bronwyn Murphy-White, Bryan O’Connell, Mark Palmer.

Matthew J. Anthony is a Dublin-based musical duo comprising of two long-term friends, Matthew Palmer and James Byrne (Villagers/Any Other City Records). They first met in the summer of 1998 and have remained creative collaborators ever since. During the late 90's and early noughties they cut their musical teeth composing songs for and performing in several "indie" outfits -- including Deputy Fuzz and Life After Modelling. Since 2005 they have quietly, yet meticulously, continued to work together at crafting and perfecting their song writing and performance skills. Essentially, these songs and the current stage show (and soon-to-be album), 'The Gospel According to Matthew J. Anthony,' is the 'at long last' outcome of a conscientious and developmental period of hibernation.
