Fire Conclave (Kava Lounge)

This was my first time attending Element 11. Tons of art, theme camps, and nice people. It’s a great size to run into new friends again. Found some thumping music from the Joule art car and Catalün sound camp, and wompy music at Sophistipirates. 

I didn't know what type of music preferences to expect from folks beyond our camp, so I brought a good amount of approachable tunes and old favorites. They were pretty receptive to techno, so I ended up layering more and more in as the set progressed. 

The recording didn't start at the beginning of the set, but we got most of it. That means we hit record after the warm up vibes and this mix dives right in. Big thanks to Scott Tucker for running sound and encouraging me to attend.

Texture #03 :: bouncy, driving, upbeat

Here is my set from Element 11 (Utah regional burn) at the Lunar Outpost sound camp from the Catalun Village crew. They made a big upgrade to their sound system this year and it sounded amazing. 

I had the opportunity to play a tech set just after sunset as we headed into nighttime. The crowd had a great vibe and the dancefloor kept growing until the end of the set. Plenty of chunky kicks, lush soundscapes, and tech vibes in this one. Thanks for checking it out!

DeMentha and Sound Garden collaborated to host a stage at SF Decom. It was a cracking day (and night) and the vibes were thick. 

This one is somewhat genre fluid, with an ear towards rhythmic funk, hypnotic basslines, and a healthy sprinkle of cheese.

This Halloween inspired mix is brewing with spacey themes. The tunes range from hypnotic techno to tech funk (ala Maccabi House). Starts with a slow, steady simmer and ends with a rolling boil.

Recording of a 2 am set from a private underground with the DeMentha crew and friends. The dancefloor vibes were lovely, the night was full of friends, and overall we had tons of fun! 

This mix starts with bouncy and uplifting vibes, then moves into moody and chunky techno, before ending with a bit of nostalgic rave.

Padeez 2025

I’m a hobbyist with a focus on chunky tech, lush soundscapes, moody vibes, and hypnotic rhythm. 

I’m not too worried about a purist sound, I like a lot of genres and moods. I like to look for ways to expand my musical vocabulary and make dance music more approachable for everyone. 

I started DJing with drum & bass on vinyl. As digital DJ equipment arrived, I grew to appreciate the ability to loop and restructure tunes in a less linear fashion and also began gravitating towards progressive, psychedelic techno. 

I’ve played up and down the west coast of the US and Mexico at burning man & regionals, desert gatherings in the Mojave, and warehouse parties in  LA, SD, and SF.
