Hospital Records proudly present the highly anticipated second edition of Degs’ ‘Mixtape Sprayout’. Making his mark on the scene back in 2018 with his debut single ‘Poveglia’ swiftly followed by his first mixtape, the multi-talented MC, vocalist and singer/songwriter steps up once again with his 13-track ‘Mixtape Sprayout Vol.2’. 

Returning to his roots, expect Degs’ own lyricism and production which expresses stories about hope, pain, family and loss, as he invites his friends, lifelong heroes and up-and-comers along too. ‘Can We Talk’, produced by fellow Hospital Records figurehead Nu:Tone who lays the groundwork for Degs’ harmonious vocals. With the sharp flows of rapid rank-riser Duskee who’s released with V Recordings and Fokuz, striking piano chords and crisp drums leave space for Degs’ personal narratives which paints a heartfelt picture.

A lethal four-way collaboration on ‘No Prisoners’ sees Horsham’s triple threat Degs, De:Tune and Citrusfly join forces with legendary drum & bass MC, Evil B. Dark, gritty and stepping, as renowned talent is combined with the new-wave of drum & bass, expect modulated basslines and bouncing vibrations to match the intricate wordplay of Degs and Evil B.


Teaming up with musical pathmaker and sublime vocalist Charli Brix, ‘The Connection’ sees another soulful tip from Nu:Tone. Delving deep into emotional rawness, Degs’ delicately crafted lyrics pay tribute to the loss of his close friend to suicide. Charli Brix offers her undoubtedly gorgeous harmonies and hopeful lyrics about love.

With the Horsham trio getting down to business yet again, ‘Final Notice’ is deeper in vibe with Degs’ enchanting vocal melodies laced within hypnotising arpeggios and a powerful sub bass wobbles. Adopting a more stripped back approach, this one is guaranteed to take you on a journey.

With ADE looming on the horizon, it only seemed apt for Ram to yet again provide the perfect drum and bass entrée for Europe’s premium dance event. Set to bring another stellar line up from their roster, this compilation packed full of exclusives helps to epitomise the imprint’s legacy within dance music. Including brand new cuts, demonstrating the Ram’s longevity, this album plays homage to two decades of output.

Leading you deeper into the dark side of 2015, this year’s Ramsterdam compilation not only pedestals the artists who’ve made such a titanic impact throughout the last ten months, but also the emerging talent from sister label Program and Ram’s newest signees. Whether it’s the old school, growling riddim from Aggressor Bunx, or Calyx & TeeBee’s tell-tale, trembling bassline, each track gives the album a unique vantage point.

Featuring on the collosal track listing is Delta Heavy; an exclusive which relays their elevating, pumping composition, it’s a dancefloor banger sure to detonate any crowd. After six years with seminal label Metalheadz, building his reputation through a steady output of Soulful Drum & Bass, Lenzman is about to embark on a new journey: launching his own label.

With Quarter To Quarter, Amsterdam-based record label The North Quarter delivers its first compilation album: a manifesto and its most ambitious project to date.

The 14 track project features prominent vocalists IAMDDB and Azekel, Bass Music legends Total Science and Break and all the core artists that have made Lenzman’s boutique label the breath of fresh air it is today.

The North Quarter is a collective of artists from around the globe, brought together through a shared love for the authentic. The imprint has become a household name in just a short space of time through ambitious and highly detailed artist projects. With Quarter to Quarter, a compilation of cutting edge Drum & Bass music, the label further solidifies its reputation and unique vision.

Never doing things the fast and easy way, the album was put together and nurtured by A&R and founder Lenzman over the course of 18 months.

Lenzman explains: “Way back when I first got into music, I wanted to share that magic with others. Today that same urge still endures within me. Since releasing his 100th track in 2017 Philth said he stopped counting, but the prolific artist has shown no sign of slowing down and continues to release music which reaches across the drum & bass scene, from smooth sultry grooves to tweaked-out tech stompers. The array of labels Philth has released on demonstrates his versatile sound: crew-status at Dispatch & Integral; tracks for scene stalwarts Spearhead, CIA, Playaz, Renegade Hardware, Chronic & Fokus; and regular appearances on next-gen imprints Flexout, Lifestyle and Peer Pressure.

The last few years have seen a stream of collaborative projects, including the chart-topping ‘Babylon Sound’ EP with Bredren, deep soul voyages with Phil Tangent as Phil:osophy and the ribcage crushing ‘Heimlich EP’ with long-term associate Wreckless. Connections with MC Fats, Collette Warren, Sense MC and Becca Jane Grey have affirmed his deft touch with vocals and ability to bring emotive songs to the dancefloor, demonstrating his versatility while maintaining consistency across his steady output.

But all the while he has been cherry-picking his favourites and hoarding a vast body of work, now ready to be unleashed as his debut album on Dispatch Recordings. ‘Moments in Time’ is made up of two LP’s of music, and displays the full range of the Philth sound while exploring new depths of emotion and ambient soundtrack-inspired works. Some of the usual suspects are called in for collaborations and vocal features, but there is a deeply personal streak running through the album with soul-searching vocals alongside the powerful basslines. Supported on dub by Goldie and road-tested by Philth & Ant TC1 over the last year, ‘Moments in Time’ can be now heard in the sets of long-time supporters Bailey, Marky, Randall, Artificial Intelligence and the extended Dispatch family. The album showcases an artist on top of his game and will surely elevate Philth into the upper reaches of the genre.

Known for his energy and commitment on three CDJ’s, Philth presents the drum & bass he loves in his own unique way, his sets veering from future soul to pulsating tech-funk in the blink of an eye - keeping audiences on their toes from start to finish with a mixture of smooth blends, sudden switches and his trademark razor sharp cuts. The longer he plays, the deeper he digs, always happy to resurrect the rolling Wormhole sound that inspired him from an early age.
