Growing up queer in the rural panhandle of Texas, music was the escape and safety for Houston DJ Hustle Cry. The long, ethereal blends in this mix mimic the dissociative state he loves to feel when listening to music. Currently representing his monthly event Open Wide, Hustle Cry aims to create more spaces in Houston for open format club sounds and to normalize hearing more “weird shit on the dance floor!”
