Phlow kicks off her #PhlowFridays series with “Pent House,” an emotionally broody and somewhat off kilter track that exposes the Nigerian native's vulnerability. On the Teck-Zilla produced track, Phlow collects all of her "pent" up emotions, and "houses" them in her head to process. Although this coping mechanism for the most part works to Phlow's favor, she addresses her feelings of isolation, of a world that continues to spin, leaving her to feel left behind. As part of the human condition, this is something that most of us experience and revisit frequently. It's through Phlow's ability to communicate these emotions that we become pulled into her world.

A moody influx of emotions comes to the time of seasonal depression and relationships on the other side of happiness. Kosha Dillz opens up about life issues and shows a more serious side with Alvarez kings from Sheffield, UK on the hook.  The song was inspired by the "other side of sadness" by AK, and the two groups met on tour in 2015 via the Vans Warped Tour. After living together for two months and seeing each other play 40+ times, the collaboration on emotional healing was inevitable.

Over a reflective horn-driven backdrop, Maka delivers a rousing performance that starts off mellow and rises to a crescendo as she reaches deep into her emotions. She talks about her childhood in a single parent home (she lost her dad at a very young age), the ups and downs but most importantly how her mother has continued to support her dream regardless of all the challenges they face.

Phlow is a Lagos,Nigeria based emcee who started penning rhymes as an outlet of expression. 
 After obtaining a degree in computer-science Phlow moved back to Lagos and by happen-stance met Str8buttah founder/producer Teck-Zilla at a show via a mutual friend. Both then developed a mutual working chemistry which led to the recording of her debut EP.
   Presently she has 2 EPs to her credit, “Mind,Body & Phlow” and “Asuai: A Mini EP”, a handful of singles “Phlowetic Justice”, “Love It or Not” and was featured on top music sites such as TheSource.com, HipHopDX, 2Dopeboyz,Egotripland, Elle magazine(France) amongst others.
