Giuliano Rodrigues is a renowned Brazilian DJ and music producer, widely recognized for his significant contributions to the Dub Techno genre. Born with an innate passion for music, Giuliano channeled his talent and creativity to craft a unique and captivating sound that deeply resonates with genre enthusiasts.

In 2012, Giuliano founded his first digital label, @flowingmovementmusic. Through this label, he not only promoted his own music but also elevated the profile of numerous other artists within the genre. His commitment to sonic excellence and dedication to cultivating a vibrant community of Dub Techno producers and fans have solidified his position as a central figure in the music scene.

In 2020, amid the pandemic, he launched DUBGIU, followed by Afterdub in 2023 and @dublucid in 2024—all focused on deep tech, deep house, minimal, and, of course, Dub Techno.

Giuliano has also released tracks on @lucidflow, a label founded by @nadjalind and @helmut-ebritsch, also known as @klartraum. The duo has produced remixes of Giuliano’s tracks, showcasing mutual respect and collaboration within the Dub Techno community. Two of Giuliano’s songs were even played at the iconic Burning Man festival. Giuliano also had the opportunity to remix Klartraum's track Manifestation, which has garnered over 60,000 plays on Spotify.

Additionally, Giuliano was featured on the popular YouTube channel GENTLEMAN, which boasts over 400,000 subscribers. In a dedicated video, @gentlemantracks selected ten tracks released by Giuliano under DUBGIU and created a one-hour set featuring his music. The channel also added two of his tracks to its top Spotify playlists.

Giuliano’s music portfolio extends to @superordinate-music, founded by @naetek. He has collaborated with Nae:Tek on several tracks, demonstrating his versatility and ability to synergize with other artists. Most recently, Giuliano released new music on @piranha-siberia, continuing to contribute fresh and innovative sounds to the Dub Techno scene.

Through these platforms and collaborations, Giuliano Rodrigues continues to solidify his reputation as a prolific and influential figure in Dub Techno, constantly pushing the genre's boundaries and connecting with a global audience.

Currently, with countless remixes, singles, compilations, and his entire body of work focused on Dub Techno, Giuliano has centralized all his releases under one label: DUBLUCID.

<p>It&#8217;s time for Sasha Carassi&#8217;s &#8220;Echoes&#8221; from a few months ago to receive remix treatment, and Skober&#8217;s interpretation is up first and focuses on the melodic elements of the Original but cleverly adds moody synths which add to the overall epicness of the affair, especially in the grandiose breakdown. Layton Giordani is up next with his trademarked shadowy sound and impeccable arrangement, offering yet another angle of attack. Last but not least are Loco &amp; Jam dubbing things out with bursts of references to the original in key moments, while maintaining a rocksteady vibe sprinkled with discordant stabs.</p>

Spartaque – Shadows / Rino
The legendary Spartaque lands on Reload Black, wasting no time whatsoever and going straight for the jugular with his latest two-track offering!
‘Shadows’ is up first, charging its way through thick territory with a thumping bass serving as the backbone, while cheeky synths and commanding, spoken-word samples slowly make their appearance. A massive synthesizer roars its head out of nowhere and the mayhem ensues as prescribed! On ‘Rino’ the gears get slightly shifted and a steamrolling rhythm section is employed, whereas mangle chords combined with hauntings effects only add to the cavernous vibe!

When Pig&Dan decided to join forces, they began a truly prolific production schedule establishing their reputation as producers of pulsating electronic music that straddled dark house and high-energy techno, whilst creating their signature style of twisted and experimental breakdowns. Pig&Dan follow up to their outstanding first EP on Drumcode with ‘Chemistry’. Compromising of three tracks the mood fluctuates with each record to create a well-balanced, dynamic EP. Chemistry is a dreamy listening platform that mixes cyclic synth lines and stabs to crescendo into a late night imagination. The other two tracks are on the harder tip with their thunderous kick drums and disorientated sounds that provide a different edge to the EP with a harder, peak time sound.

Well, 2016 was a bit of a mixed bag wasn't it? It's certainly a year that I wont forget in a hurry - for all sorts of reasons - good and bad. However the one common denominator throughout pretty much all of it has been music. Whether its what you turn too to make you happy or whether its the cause of what occasionally makes you sad, there is no denying that music is the one thing that brings us all together to share what is best about being a human. So here's to sharing and caring. We can all do more of both in 2017 but I want to sign off for the holidays by saying a MASSIVE THANK YOU to you all for caring about my music. As for the sharing, I'll start us off with this... ;)
