There are many words in the English language, but none of them describe singer/songwriter, Courtney Harrell, more appropriately than “extraordinary”.  Blessed from birth and destined to impact the world with her voice and through her songwriting, she has already received Grammy honors for lending her pen to Chris Brown for his Grammy Award-winning album, “F.A.M.E., by contributing to the songs, “Oh, My Love” and “Say It With Me”.  Currently, she is also enjoying success with the lead single from the forthcoming major motion picture, “Act Like a Woman, Think Like A Man,” performed by Jennifer Hudson feat. Neyo and Rick Ross, the heartwarming ballad, “Irreversible,” off of Mary J. Blige’s “My Life II” album, and the current single, “Not the Same Girl,” performed by British recording group, From Above.   Additionally, in the near future Harrell is slated to have releases with Rihanna, Chris Brown, Brandy, Mario and more.

Born and raised in Boston, MA, Harrell is no stranger to music excellence. She honed her crafts by attending the world-renowned Berklee College of Music and is inspired by legendary singer/songwriters Fred Hammond, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Babyface, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Eric Clapton, to name a few.  Obviously, her diverse influences have shaped her as an artist and songwriter.  However, no one has had a greater influence on her than her own parents; both pastors and both musically gifted.  Apparently, the apple did not fall far from the tree.

To date, Harrell has worked with many industry greats including John Legend, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Brandy, Mario, The Roots, Kelly Rowland, and producers Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Claude Kelly, Harmony “H Money” Samuels, Benny Benassi, Alex Da Kid, The Underdogs and more. Certainly, the list will continue to grow.

"It all starts and ends with great music.  Period!” Harrell explains. She realizes that dedication, hard work and continued blessings from God are the keys to success and she is committed to achieve every goal she sets for herself.
