Following the demise of Jaker, a band he had fronted and that had managed to rack up no fewer than 1,200 shows, Dublin singer songwriter Kevin Casey recently decided to focus entirely on his solo career.
With a sound situated somewhere between Whiskeytown, Elton John, Springsteen and Oasis, Casey has already managed to secure in excess of 80 gigs and left his audiences in no doubt that they are witnessing the birth of an artist of striking maturity and intelligence, someone who can craft Beatlesque pop and all-out rockers with equal aplomb.
 
Make no mistake, Kevin Casey has created a striking and beautifully crafted set of songs here, dipping into soul, country as well as classic pop balladry, and his dynamic charisma and effortless melodic skills make his forthcoming debut album a mouth-watering prospect.

Phoenix Unplugged the live unplugged music show which airs weekly on Monday nights from 10-11pm on Phoenix 92.5FM.

Melodic rock band, BLUESUN, have considerable accomplishments under their belts.  Their ten year existence has seen the sound and songs develop to such a standard that the band are set to go supernova!

Hot Press magazine reports “ a great looking band with original style, BLUESUN’s material has an easy-going summery feel…as a unit they gel extremely well together and the frontman is fantastic.”

Established hits like Someway, Whatever Happened to Love, Convinced and new single Dumped in particular show an edgier rock sound mixed with reggae.  Though the quartet has numerous influences, they have been compared to bands like The Lemonheads, Matchbox 20 and REM.
