PHONIC AESTHETIC Pieter Desmet °1972 Tom Himpe °1973 started out as a fun way of creating our own dance-music, but expanded. Together with fast-evolving musicstyles that invaded clubs in the eighties - that were usually underground en club-specific - , new creative possibilities were discovered. What used to be underground and not-understood by many soon became mainstream. This added new influences like New Beat, Trance, Rave, Acid, house,... and lets not forget Pop, "Alternative" Rock and Metal ; because eventually anything you hear influences you. Fast-paced innovation such as computers, midi, synths helped to create more complex arranged songs, being only a band of 2.
