Por Mercurio is a long distance collaboration between three old friends from Argentina: pianist and composer Agustina Taborda, based in Galway, Ireland; bass player and multi-instrumentalist Valentin Prieto, now in Barcelona, Spain; and DJ and music producer Ana Helder, living in Cologne, Germany.

Their recordings came to life by exchanges through the World Wide Web and converged in a brand new cosmic solar system of tracks that features highly stringed harmonies and melodies composed on synthetized orchestral structures, inspired by famed Latin-American artists like Bebu Silvetti or Daniel Grau. A mesmerizing mixture of experimental electronic sound, Latin rhythms, dub and tango nuances full of special effects.

Phonica Premiere: D.Tiffany - Spirit Alien (Jayda G Esoteric Mix) [OSCILLATE TRACKS]

Following on from Type-303’s breakthrough The New Ravelution EP, Insult To Injury areproud to present You Ruined SST For Me EP by long time label friends, Pink Skull.We first heard Vr4l4r last year and immediately knew we had to put it out, as itmanages to be both an acid banger and a chordal, emotive piece simultaneously. No mean feat. F4n4pt turns up the heat (and the grit) with groove laden drum machines and analogue synthesisers firing machinegun-esque rhythms over the top. S4phr1s is aslightly weirder affair, as atonal bleeps & noises are anchored by the pounding 4/4 kickdrum.
Finally, label boss Timothy Clerkin provides a dance-floor-ready version of S4phr1s : 808‘s boom and 303’s squelch – it’s an acid workout for the warehouse.

@opalsunn's return to Nick Höppner's Touch From A Distance is sort of a recap of 2019 - a year that proved pretty incredible for the duo of Alex Kassian and Oba Hiroaki. Their live show took them quite literally all over the world including Tokyo, Valencia, Ho-Chi-Minh-City, Hanoi, Fusion Festival, England's beloved Field Maneuvers and last but not least: Panorama Bar in Berlin, where they performed twice in 2019  as part of the Touch From A Distance labelnights.
Their „Laika EP“ has been largely inspired by their first Panaroma-Bar-performance in january last year, which they - unassuming, yet assertive - took by storm. Eight months later their show in the Laika tent at the UK's best kept festival secret Field Maneuvers marked a second highlight in Opal Sunn's calendar. As a tribute, Opal Sunn have called the opening track to this record „Laika“.
Their second ep for Touch From A Distance is picking things up, where their debut left off, meaning Opal Sunn's sound design is as pristine as a mountain spring and their arrangements are as tight and effective as ever. Having played numerous gigs in the meantime, there seems to be a new focus, though. All four tracks feel much more centered and balanced, aiming quite effortlessly at  a heaving dancefloor.
„Laika“, the ep's lead track, sees Opal Sunn at their most effective and peak time. A long build up and a rolling 303 bassline make for a total sureshot of a track.
On „Minority State“, the duo let's their Electro inclinations run free, fusing razor sharp beats with icy melodies and abstract sound effects.
On the b-side, „Holy Mountain“ is essential Opal Sunn: Glistening arpeggios, gliding melodies and floating beats create a psychedelic atmosphere predestined to lose yourself in.
The ep ends with „Tangerine Blues“, an equally atmospheric and trance-y  track embedded in a rather broken beat, going for a more cinematic vibe.

With their overall second vinyl-only release Dutch label and collective Filament re-locate themselves musically wise as the approach and the occasion for their Club I EP focuses on, as the title suggests, club music while the first release, Fest I, emphasized those outdoor-moments during the festival season. What remains the same, compared to the label's debut EP, is that each track of Club I represents a different stage or moment of a night (out). The night is kicked off at 11 P.M.with music from St. Petersburg resident Kito Jempere and LovvLovver, the bassist of the Kito Jempere Band, who deliver a drum-influenced, heart-warming and grooving 8 minute opener that is built upon a crunchy yet funky bass line. In the course of the track the duo inweaves chim-esque chords, which are contrasting the overall warm and organic sound and therefore emphasize it even more. Kito and LovvLovver create the perfect dance floor opener ringing the night as groovy and strong as a mitempo track can do and surely heat up one's dancing shoes even before 3 A.M.

Club I will be released on Filament on March 18th, 2020.
