Introducing CWPT - the brand new label from Berlin-based, British DJ and producer Palms Trax.

For the label’s maiden voyage, Palms Trax teams up with South African vocalist Nonku Phiri for the soulful, Afropop-inspired disco groover ‘Petu’.

The hawk-eyed amongst you may recognise the dub version of ‘Petu’ from Palms Trax’s set at The Music Locker as part of Grand Theft Auto Online, but it’s the supercharged remix from Amsterdam-based producer Masalo that gets our pick for the premiere. Enjoy!

Phonica Premiere: Lorca - Colraine [Shall Not Fade]

With a strong discography from the likes of Workshop, Third Ear and Lobster Theremin, Luke Palmer aka Ozel AB has been turning heads in the realms of leftfield house and techno since 2014. Now putting out the first offering on his own self-titled label in May we are delighted to premiere one of these four new tracks from the man himself. Series Parallel is 5mins and 25 seconds of raw bleep styled techno that brings you back to a 90's warehouse with a fitting subtle cut up vocal throughout and an addictive bassline to match. An essential listen coming into the long weekend. Ozel AB's "OZ001" drops early May.

Returning to Daniel Steinberg's Arms & Legs imprint for their third collaboration, Kristin Velvet and Felix Da Housecat unite for 'Cats Love Velvet III' - a fresh two-tracker that's set to drop on July 12.

Ahead of the release, this excellent production duo has handed over the EP's lead tune 'Not Hard' - a brisk, arid and ominous tune with a tense piano melody that's pushed up your spine by a raw percussion and a brawny kick.

As part of the 25th anniversary of his label Ovum, acid house pioneer Josh Wink has enlisted a variety of iconic DJs to remix some of his classic tracks. Making his first Ovum appearance, the label boss has recruited NYC house legend, Louie Vega, to use his unique swing and buoyant dancefloor style to reinterpret Wink's 1997 collaborative single with Ursula Rucker, 'Sixth Sense'.

Curve Records returns for their second outing with a powerful, grooved-out, broken beat EP: ‘ Planned Cities ’ from Bristol’s veteran forward thinking producer  Lrusse .“I like the optimism behind planned cities because they often don't turn out as expected - humans are random and there are unintended consequences everywhere. I never set out to write a broken beat EP, so that's quite been kind of a surprise too, ha.”

Fellow Bristol legend Lord Leopard (F.K.A. Lukas) remixes the A1, ‘Crep Check’, delivering a club tool that will heat to any dancefloor.

Lrusse is the solo project of Ed Bayling, also known for slow-mo dancefloor heaters as one-half of Bristol’s Behling and Simpson, and has found regular support from the likes of Midland and Danny Krivit to Claude von Stroke and Todd Edwards, with tracks released on iconic labels such as K7, Tsuba and Dirt Crew, as well as underground fixtures like Nite Owl Diner and Apple Pips.

There was a hazy glow to the autumn sky - it wasn't beautiful but haunting and challenging upon the eye. Cycling along the brittle concrete streets his treads left a little scuff and scaff upon the pavement, at least they represented his small existence. He wondered how far he might be able to ride through the night before he became lost and missed. Back home there was little hope of a future but when he rode under the shade of the clouds and the trees he felt free and easy. His bike was his world...

Lrusse is set to release a new EP on Curve Records - a broken beat affair which packs a punch. The EP is titled "Planned Cities" and blurs the lines between moodier heady electronics and that for the dancefloor.
