Scottish-born Richie Evans has been a working musician for over 20 years, performing as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist in such diverse musical genres as traditional folk, blues, Alternative Country, American roots, jazz and soul.

Since locating in Exmouth in Devon in 2006, Richie has been incredibly pro-active in the local music scene, and is actively involved with several very different popular musical acts of multiple musical genres. He has also firmly established himself as a promoter of regular genre-specific music evenings within the local area, which have helped to significantly support, develop and increase public awareness of many local musicians.

Between 2008 and 2011 he was an integral part of assisting Exmouth's annual music and arts festival in planning elements of their fringe programme, in particular his ambitious week-long project in 2010 called "The American Music Club" from which spawned his 9 piece soul band, Souled, who have gone on to become one of the most popular live acts currently playing in the South-West of England.

Having established a reputation for creating high-quality music events at various locations, Richie has been involved in assisting several local venues to establish popular music nights, or provide acts on a regular basis to perform in a wide variety of settings. This ranges from promoting local acts trying to establish themselves on the music scene, to representing several experienced acts in finding work throughout the south-west, to promoting multiple events featuring nationally renowned artists, and is particularly pro-active in the Acoustic & Roots genre.

In addition to being a working musician and progressing as an agent and promoter, Richie Evans Music continues to develop an existing small stable of acts that he represents in a managerial role.
