The way too late Debut album of the English artist Dj Caant (FKA Dj C**t). This album has been on the shelve for 5 years now. This guy contacted me few years back with these carefully crafted tracks. I tried to help him get the tracks released but labels always backed out because of his name. He didn't want to change it, and would not release them under a different moniker, so nothing happened.

I still get requests regularly about the Dj Caant tracks that I played in my Dj mixes some years back. So I contacted him and we decided to just release them on Bandcamp + other tracks that have never seen the light of day. The tracks are extremely simple, raw and fully reflect the way this guy is.

Debut

Dj Caant - Debut (LSLP001)

This October FUSE London’s sister label, Infuse, welcomes Spanish producer Sonodab into the fold. Infuse 006 consists of three wickedly hypnotic house mutations from the Barcelona based producer which perfectly fit with Infuse’s famed sound.

‘Noctum’ kicks off the EP in fine style with rolling percussion, a distant twinkling melody and elastic bass resulting in a simple yet brilliant eyes-down dance floor tool. ‘Rainy Day’ continues in a similar vein, with incessant hi-hats, panning pads and gorgeous thick bass, it is another intricately produced track with a smoky aesthetic. ‘Escape’ rounds off the EP and is the warmest track on offer with rich synths and full melodies shimmering over a rhythmic core.

On his debut, Sonodab has delivered a worthy addition to the Infuse series. The ‘Escape EP’ is a distinctive package packed full of crisp percussion and hypnotic sounds, another one for the heads.

Morning People is born to focus on avant-garde Deep House and future hypnotic minimal Funk. The label second instalment comes in form of duo Adjustment Bureau. Talented Russian artists Saksonov Vladimir and Kondraschenko Denis are well known to the industry with outstanding releases on labels like Pleasure Zone, Bodyparts and Hypetone .Their signature is all over their work and made them a:rpia:r favorites since a while. Their sound is elegant, their grooves full of accents and swings, always original, always hypnotic, sinking in a sea of textures. The EP keeps interesting all the way, mature and deep but always keeping the dance going with the funk.

Italy’s electronic scene has always been a strong one and has produced some of house and techno’s brightest stars. It is this pride and trust in its home scene that has spurred the founders of Mōtŭs to realize their vision of running a label where only Italian artists would provide each release.
