As we set forth into the heart of winter, we’re thrilled to welcome LEGATO back to TOR. The Eton Messy regular is waking waves in the international scene with recent offerings on All Day I Dream and Nightcolours, showcasing his distinct indie-leaning sound. The Londoner entered the TOR fold last year in pristine fashion, summoning the sensational I'm Waiting For You on our last Tales of Romance project. Next on the docket is his first full outing on the imprint - the And Still, I Rise EP. 

Commanding the A1 role is Lost Without You, which perfectly summarizes the LEGATO sound we’ve come to love. Chopped and trippy vocals ebb and flow, as sharp percussion keeps the groove alive. A touch of acid enters the fold to melt the mind and ignite dancefloors, while a foundational melancholic melody cuts deep for the home listeners.

The project’s namesake - And Still, I Rise - turns the dial and kicks things into high gear. A punchy drumline greets ominous bass tones to form the underbelly, while fluttering synthetics take care of the high end. A constant riser, the B-side is built for moments of exaltation, and will no doubt catch the ear of global selectors.

Closing out LEGATO’s tantalizing trio is The Dawn Aurora. Lush lo-fi tones bring an easy-flowing groove, while a signature hook sets on rotation to get the feet moving. An emotive ambience is omnipresent, crafting a tune brimming with after-hour potential.

Déepalma drops its first VA of 2023, Déepalma EP, Vol. 10 (Incl. Yves Murasca, Rosario Galati, Ucha, Alex Lo Faro, Nebs Jack), with a nod to the label's decade anniversary.

The first of several multi-artist releases on Déepalma is set to drop this February featuring a host of label favourites. The tenth edition of Déepalma’s self-titled VA series includes tracks from Yves Murasca, Rosario Galati, Ucha, Alex Lo Faro and Nebs Jack.

Opening the release, a stunning instrumental version of Yves Murasca & Rosario Galati’s ‘Love This Life’ feat. Karolyn Haze dazzles with a flurry of nonchalant grooves, loose percussive elegance, resonant melodic layers and dreamy string arrangements - providing the perfect melting pot to dissolve into.

Ucha’s ‘Sonsondergang’ comes next, turning up the tempo somewhat with its deepened driving cadence and hypnotic character. A rolling cut with non-invasive rhythms and swirling harmonies from the outset, carrying another impressive display of string work throughout its enchanting journey.

Nebs Jack is next up with ‘Elegija’, keeping the focus firmly on captivating musicality and organic instrumental flair. Its endless sea of masterfully constructed hand-struck percussion lays the foundation for exotic tones and emotive melodies to flow over the top, creating an escapist atmosphere driven by beautiful piano lines and sweeping pads.

Alex Lo Faro’s ‘Es Vedra’ rounds off the release with pulsating balearic flavours from the off. Carefree rhythms and reverberating synths form the beating heart of the track, guided along by frequent injections of spellbinding electronic guitar riffs.

2023 marks an impressive milestone for Déepalma Records as they prepare to celebrate their tenth anniversary this year. The label has gone from strength to strength over the last decade, welcoming releases from some of the best-known artists on the planet whilst also helping springboard some of the industry’s most promising talents. To celebrate ten years of Déepalma, the imprint will release a set of special anniversary singles throughout the year, along with two extra-special editions of its renowned seasonal compilation series, packed with a wealth of the label’s most influential music from the last ten years - not forgetting some amazing new tracks.

‘Déepalma EP, Vol. 10’ is out on 10th February 2023 on Déepalma Records.

With Kelch 17, Robert Babicz once again proves his ability to shape emotional landscapes across diverse electronic genres. This three-track EP explores different shades of groove and atmosphere, yet is unmistakably Babicz.

Opening with “Pink Sky”, a heartfelt Disco House gem, Babicz delivers a smooth, shimmering groove layered with delicate vocals – a sunsetanthem for the dancefloor and the soul. For DJs, a stripped-back Dub Mix provides the perfect tool to keep the groove alive.

“Dub Syndicate” dives into deeper, darker territory – a hypnotic blend of Gangster Dub and Techno attitude. Heavy basslines and rolling echoes create a raw, immersive experience built for smoky late-night sessions.

Berlin-based award-winning producer, label owner, and one of Europe’s most sought-after house DJs – has left an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene.

With over 100 releases and remixes on acclaimed labels such as MoBlack, Dessous, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Stil vor Talent, Systematic, Bunny Tiger, Katermukke, Bar 25 Music, and Ritter Butzke, his prolific output cements his status as a house music innovator.

Phonique's career catapulted to fame in 2004 with the iconic club anthems “The Red Dress” and “For the Time Being.” However, it was his timeless hit “Feel What You Want” from his 2010 album – amassing over 50 million views on YouTube – that solidified his global reputation. His four critically acclaimed albums showcase his evolving sound, diverse influences, and profound intuition for igniting dance floors worldwide.

In July 2022, Phonique launched his label Zatar Music, debuting with a Korolova remix of “Feel What You Want.” The label highlights his melodic and Afro-Arabic house inspirations, drawing from his travels to countries like Jordan, Ukraine, and Armenia. With releases from artists such as Fairplay, Roo, Nilu, and Gui Boratto, Zatar Music embodies Phonique’s adventurous sonic vision. Remixes by Hyenah, Korolova, Gorje Hewek, and others have earned Zatar tracks spots in Black Coffee’s Spotify playlist and Adriatique’s iconic Cercle set.

2022 also marked Phonique’s residency at Berlin’s renowned club Ritter Butzke, following his debut release on their label. Playing alongside international stars like Korolova and Franky Wah, Phonique continues to inspire with his electrifying performances.

As Identification, his debut album, approached its 20th anniversary, Phonique is planning a special release featuring acoustic reinterpretations and fresh remixes of classics like “For the Time Being feat. Erlend Oye” and “Café Monte Carlo feat. Dixon.” This milestone reaffirms his ability to revisit and reinvent his own legacy.

An unexpected highlight in 2024 was the resurgence of “Feel What You Want” in its slowed version, trending on Shazam charts in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, and peaking at #15 on the global Shazam charts. This momentum inspired an upcoming “All Mixes” release on Zatar Music, featuring remixes from Korolova, Vintage Culture, Bruno Be, Tom Novy, Aka Aka, and a highly anticipated new version by Ukrainian duo Artbat.

From his trailblazing productions to his residencies and label endeavors, Phonique remains a driving force in house music, pushing boundaries while staying true to the genre’s essence.
