Phonix are Lori J. Ward aka Hifi Princess and Tobi Frick. They met in Graz, Austria in 2002, realized immediately that they had similar tastes and one year later they went into the studio to produce their first track Disaster o’ Mine, which was released in Croatia on the Extravaganza Cd Sampler. This track was then re-worked by Lori and two producers from Frankfurt and was re-released under the name ‘Disastermind’ on the Love Parade 2004 Compilation, Highball music and a few other electronic music compilations. Tobi and Lori also did a remix of Disatermind, which was also released on Highball Music. Both tracks were charted by DJ heavyweights and played throughout Europe.
In 2004 they began studio work together again. In summer 2006 ‘House of Jive’ became an album and ‘phonix’ was born.
Lori and Tobi both have been musicians for many years, but coming from two totally different backgrounds. Lori began in 1993 as a dj and producer following the electronic music scene, and Tobi started in 1990 as a guitarist and mc in the rock/drum´n´bass scene. The combination of the two artists has proven to be a success by bringing an unique and recognizable phonix sound – somewhere between electro and drum´n´bass.

The duo started to play live three years ago, performing before audiences all over Austria. They are both unique personalities and this also shines through with their stage performance. On New Years 2009 they will be debuting in Canada in Saskatoon as well as there are European tours planned for 2010.
Their video ‘Frustschutzmittel’ was played for two consecutive weeks on ProSieben Germany and held the 9th and 10th place for best video on Myvideo.de. Over 25.000 hits just for Frustschutzmittel show their growing popularity in Europe.
The videos for ‘Tanz Mich’ (12inch vinyl on the label Tiefparterre in 2009), ‘Where does the love go’, ‘Get what you deserve’ and ‘It wasn’t me’ also achieved a lot of attention. Coming up next will be an EP containing all German phonix songs so far and also the new video for ‘Körper aneinander reiben’.

Electronic music deviant Diwanescu aka s.diwan aka Sabotage Hybrid is one of the harder to pin down acts on the experimental sample landscape. He fuses samples drawn from diverse sources all over the world with hip-hop and jazz compositional ideas - the bustling rhythms of breakbeat, the bent sonic mayhem of ambient and dub are mixed with computers -, sequencers -, keyboards - experiments.
Now residing in the south-spanish village ‘Alcaidesa‘ s.diwan a.ka. Diwanescu started up to produce music in late ‘95 as an adjunct to his respective interests in funk and soul, jazz, hip-hop and experimental underground club styles like house, breakbeat, ambient, dub and downbeat.
In 1997, at the age of 22, his first recording was released. It was called “Befreiung” and was some of the most lovely electronic music work ever recorded and shows hard, dark, experimental style. As the nineties progressed, he recorded and released multiple songs, purely for his own pleasure - also collaborations between him and his friend Dedlef Kedrosch at the happy spacemas festival (turntables/synth project ‘98) and the famous band project “trish” (rhythms of breakbeat, electro-pop-funk, vocals and conventional instruments ‘98) were pushing back s.diwan’s sound clash boundaries.
The following months/years were spent searching and archiving source material for his follow-up, “Project Lift”, which utilized samples from excursions to rolling jungle, cool jazz, galloping basslines with complex trapset orchestration and shrill, screaming horns.
In 2001 s.diwan/diwanescu founded uterus.at digital style grill network-project. Also, tiefparterre.net, a collaboration of DJs, Producers, Graffiti &amp; Tattoo artists was initiated with his assistence.
During following months and years Diwanescu started to play out live and as DJ at various festivals and locations in Austria and Spain.

Farina Miss (Germany; Red Bull Soundclash Champ) sassy gorgeousness and soulful, power vocals.
Biografie
At only 16 Farina won the 2003 Coca-Cola casting call in Germany defeating 9 other contestants to win a recording contract, which saw her release her first published single „Dance the Music“. In 2005 she moved to Austria after being accepted to study Jazz at Graz’ University of Arts. In 2008 she won the ‘Red Bull Sound Clash’ with funk band Tyrone. In 2009 she started collaborating with Mr.Dero on a track called ‘No time to waste’, which made it on to the ‘Big Issue – Big Chill’ compilation in 2010 raising awareness and money for the homeless. Farina Miss is also currently front woman for live TV band „The Red Blues“ on Red Bull TV’s „Servus TV”.
