Vodkast Records is made of a record and audio shop, DJ mix series, club nights, and a record label from Tbilisi.

It started in 2010 as the first DJ mix podcast by Gio Bakanidze - our friend and one of the pioneer DJs in Georgia. Before Gio's tragic passing in the same year, six podcasts have been recorded by Georgian DJs posted as ‘oldies’. Vodkast has been re-launched in 2011 by Gio’s friends through posting weekly DJ mixes of local and foreign artists.  Since 2012, Vodkast club nights are being held across various clubs and festivals in Georgia, among them the lovely 4GB - annual dance gathering as a tribute to Gio, which has been growing ever since Gio's friends launched it in 2011.

Later in September 2015, Vodkast Records - a vinyl record shop opened its doors in Tbilisi and restarted the underlying culture since its disappearance from the recent past. Same year saw the first release of Vodkast record label which was followed by couple more limited vinyl releases of local musicians.

Fall The Night is an EP Inspired by Nathan Hassall's illustrated poetry chapbook, The Flesh and Mortar Prophecy. Nathan Hassall leads the way where few are willing to go, deep into the mind's Dark Sanctuary. All-knowing doctors, schizophrenic demons and apocalyptic visions are all part of the process within the confines of flesh. Once entered, there is no way to unlearn the awakened chimeras of the self.

Love Like Blood serves as a companion piece to Flowers for Bodysnatchers seminal Dark Ambient album Aokigahara. In this album we explore the haunted tale of despair of love lost, found and lost again. Our protagonists journey from the previous album is a shadowy narrative walking hand in hand with the fatal attraction that is Aokigahara. 

The album revisits the lonely intricate piano movements, soundscapes and field recordings compiled while exploring the underworld that is Tokyo. Exploring a metropolis and an individual constantly in a state of decay and rebirth. As is Love Like Blood.

Flowers for Bodysnatchers - Aokigahara.

Aokigahara (青木ヶ原), known as the Suicide Forest is a 35-square-kilometre forest that lies at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan. Aokigahara forest is dense, shutting out all but the natural sounds of the forest itself. The forest has an historic association with demons in Japanese mythology, and it is a notoriously common suicide site.

Flowers for Bodysnatchers explores the long journey to Aokigahara through soundscapes ripe with lonely pianos on textural backdrops. Countless hours have been spent field recording on the voyage between Tokyo to Aokigahara which creates the perfect atmospheric companion to the intricate instrumental approach. This is a beautiful dark ambient soundtrack culminating in the final choice between life and death.

Solaris is an album based on the 1961 Polish philosophical science fiction novel by Stanisław Lem. The book centers upon the themes of the nature of human memory, experience and the ultimate inadequacy of communication between human and non-human species. 

Solaris is one of Lem’s philosophic explorations of man’s anthropomorphic limitations. First published in Warsaw in 1961.

DJ Kozmana, Sandro Kozmanishvili is a shaped DJ and producer from Tbilisi, Georgia. He immersed himself in the local music scene as club culture emerged.
In the late 2000s, Kozmana transitioned from acoustic to electronic music, influenced by worldwide and local artists. He developed a unique style, blending genres from 90/2000s classics to contemporary trends.

Performed in EU venues, particularly in Georgia, both solo and in collaboration, exploring experimental sounds and creating lively party vibes.

Kozmana captures the very heart of the dance floor. His sets merge minimalistic grooves, captivating rhythms and genre-defying tracks. With seamless transitions and perfect song choices, Kozmana takes listeners on a  journey through sub genres of house and techno, with the blend of acid, trance to punk to funk, or modern auto-tune pop trends, that stirs the soul.

Kozmana stands out displaying remarkable versatility, captivating audiences as a DJ, live performer and music producer. Embracing digital simplicity, he draws inspiration from his past - as a studio enthusiast, when he was experimenting with modular systems and analog sounds. Committed to delivering a complete dance experience, he keeps the crowd moving.

In the past, Kozmana was more focused on collaborative projects with friends like 3Suli, Octachoron and V.C.V.S. Together, they released vinyl and digital records, reaching shops and platforms worldwide, varied aesthetics from experimental-ambient, kraut rock to New/Wave.

Since early 2022, Kozmana shaped his calling as a rave charmer during his residency at TES club, delving into the art of masterfully constructing dance atmosphere.
