‘Dance on your own is a song about change and the inevitable transitions we all have to go through as travellers. It’s funny; some of the most meaningful relationships we’ve all been through have happened on the road, and therefore often had to end prematurely due to circumstance or whatever. It was one of those fleeting romances that inspired the song, but I think for all of us it’s come to represent embracing the change that people can trigger in you. It’s cool because we’re still going through this shift musically as well, at the time of writing we were getting frustrated and decided to write something completely different. This tune is more upbeat but still has that folky element at the root, it’s a heap of fun to play live and we’re just excited about where the sound is heading.’

Two friends, Adriano Prestel and Felix Kirner, decided to make music together in 2017. Felix is a well known DJ and Producer. Adriano is a singer and composer. Both are living in Munich, Bavaria. To them it was quite clear.. It had to happen. And it did.
Since every collaboration needs a ritual, weekly visits to vietnamese restaurants right before the studio-session became mandatory. The Name “Pho Queue” came up while standing in a queue waiting for their pho-soup. Since then they are addicted to Pho and Nem Nem.
After recording the first songs at Felix Kirner’s studio they were joined by his brother Ferdinand Kirner, a brilliant guitarist. Since the three of them are very versatile and oldschool-oriented, the musical roadmap was pretty clear from the beginning: Classic synthesizers, funky 80’s guitars, punchy basslines and soulful vocals.
Layering different organic and digital sounds to turn them into one unique instrument helped them define their own sound and to focus on each musician’s individual strength. The symbiosis came to a peak with their first release “Sweet“.

This musical journey started in Munich, Germany inside a vietnamese restaurant. While waitin in line to order their Pho (vietnamese Soup) to be exact. Enlightened and inspired by the taste of their Pho, Adriano, Felix and Ferdinand decided to head to the studio. This is how it all started. Since then they repeated this ritual at least once a week. The result? A fresh and tasty combination of electronic music and soulful vocals.
