Back on wax, back to family, back to bring in the front page new artists, we're giving out on vinyl only best tracks we could compile on 'Tzinah On Black' series. Hansel!, representing Tzinah Family, is starting our story with 'Ypsilon', where just magic and joyfull feelings come out. All expreesed on a house output, with breaky rhythms. Taking it from there, Mihai Pol's 'Dinotopia' is something extraordinary out of him. With sounds and grooves out of this world, alienated atmospheres, we do go crazy on this one. So we turn side, and our new family member Herck is there, as he used to be more and more connected to us lately, his 'Tetahedron' track, comes as a perfect glove on our right hand. Layed back house and micro-sphered sensations are Herck's most meaninfull touches. And as a touch of more groove, we discovered another representation of us being developed in vlf's latest constructions. His 'In Parcare la Stadion' tune, is a demonstration of our romanian most juicy groove, and crazy attitude we tend to get on the dancefloor. With the Asexual EP by YobKiss, Electronic Emergencies is back with a true electronic delight. YobKiss consists of Dutch instrumentalist and producer Paul Borchers, currently based in San Fransisco, and Tokyo resident Yuko Araki on vocals. Their music balances on the edge of avant-garde electronics and flirts with acid pop in dreamy soundscapes, with an analogue synth sound and beautiful vocals in Japanese and English. Or, in their own words, a pitch-dark, filth-ridden tour de force into the worlds of acid house and electro.

Javi Redondo releases a 5-track EP on Dischi Autunno featuring 3 originals, with the remaining tracks consisting of remixes of lead track ‘Rythmo’ from Pablo Bozzi (aka Lapse of Reason) and Cosmo Vitelli. The pace across the EP may be quite sedate, but the sounds within are anything but: blending analogue techno manoeuvres with a disco-inflected methodology, the producer paints a picture of prime-time energy with a heaped spoon of fun. 

‘Black 5th’ draws heavily on this energy, static, patient acid jittering forward slowly and with intent as the sci-fi-esque samples and spooked electronics flutter in and out of audibility. ‘Non Sei Qui’ takes the energy out of the stars and into an EBM horror soundtrack, shattered vocal samples and 80’s synth leads bringing the listener deeper into the intensifying groove.

‘Rythmo’ sets the bar, gritty bass sludging past a gate of motorik drums. True to its name, the rhythm develops swiftly, krautrock-edged energy gathering momentum as the percussion suite, faintly coloured with house music tropes, reaches for the stars. 

Pablo Bozzi, in the vein of Space Dimension Controller, adds a cinematic punch to ‘Rythmo’, transforming the original into an enigmatic, almost trance-like piece, while Cosmo Vitelli’s ‘K hole’ remix pulls the other way, using a stylised view of the percussion as an ephemeral layer above treacle-thick bass and whirring, panic-stricken machinery.

Nasanieru aka Nasan is a 21 year old lofi house producer based from Los Angeles, CA. Nasan started producing at the age of 11 and grew his craft from Todd Edward's inspirations, Ross from Friends, Daft Punk, Roche Musique, Justice, MSTRKRFT, The Cure, Theo Parrish and Leon Vynehall...the early exposure to these artists have transformed into Nasan's grooved up lofi house sounds.

At 18 he decided to work for a blog that's based in France called "Do You Like That Song" , nd eventually became friends, and received mentoring from Todd Edwards, Patlok, YUKSEK and the crew at Roche Musique.

Nasanieru is ready to take his "Lo-fi 'till i Die" journey to full potential!

The celestial sounds from the italian producer Tagliabue is a healing process of well tempered analog synthesizers. The cure is in the mix of pre dancefloor and ambient tracks inlcuding a slow trancy chug from well known and apreciated selector Anatolian Weapons.

Tagliabue is not just inspired by the afro cosmic heritage of Beppe Loda and Daniele Baldelli, but also from post-folk, rock, prog and kraut influences of 70’s and early 80’s, passing through New Wave and Synth Pop of Gaznevada or The Stupid Set and not to forget italians rave culture of the 90s with Franceso Farfa and Marco Dionigi just to mention a few.

This very intimate EP is a meditative and transcendental journey to another world. Literally.

HRDF: How did you discover the original track? Why did you choose to edit it?

@hanzoandyaman : the story of this edit is very unusual. At the time we started the edit we were living together in Vienna. Yaman discovered the track ''The Groove Is In The Heart'' by Deee-Lite in Hanzo's sample folder. It's such a crazy piece of music that even one short line of the vocals makes you think of several different ways to make something new out of it, which was actually the main motivation to start this project. Then we added some keys on it, which we recorded with an old Casio keyboard from the early 90's which gave the whole sample loop another twist. A big part of the percussions are taken from cooking pots and other gadgets from our kitchen.

Together with their newest EP Immorality, which will be released this June on Knekelhuis label, Zaliva-D brings traditional futurism and oriental mysticism.

Sick Step is a perfect example of ritualistic behaviour which this Chinese duo brings to their melodics combined together with sinister vocals. Shamanism and powerful percussions are at a threatening point in this track which is nearly the most powerful one of the entire ingenious release.

Immorality will be out on Knekelhuis 8th June.

Following we present the second premiere of the upcoming release by the head honcho, Juanpablo, with his extended edit of Mac Blackout’s “Do The Dance In Your Head” which original version came out in Valencia’s imprint B.F.E. in 2011. The original song with its guttering guitar strings and nicotine stained vocals, proves ample ground for the Frigio boss to work with.
