We were first introduced to Annechoic at a brokntoys x Vortex Traks label night. Good times, great memories and what a DJ set that was. We are pleased to hear more of it now in the latest podcast.

Active since the early 2000s, for much of her career Annechoic has operated in the shadows, balancing her time between her work in film post-production and running
the highly regarded extinct cult label Audiofugitives with Schizolectric since 2012. She has also produced a secret arsenal of music that we have only gotten a glimpse at on her own label and more recently with a release for Brokntoys. Alongside this her recent DJ sets have been highly regarded for her intelligent flow
across electro, techno and ambient.

Both as a producer and DJ, Annechoic wishes to explore the relationships between rhythm and melody primarily within electro but not confined to it. Her music ranges from soft ambient themes all the way through to darker syn- thetic sounds with an emphasis on the emotional reaction from the listener.

Bio:
Dutch producer RXmode has been releasing electro records on various labels since 2014, including the British Bass Agenda Recordings label and Mannequin Records from Berlin. His own style is clearly recognizable by the dark atmosphere and the rhythmic structure. From its first release his music has been picked up by big names including Dave Clarke, Helena Hauff and Umwelt.
For a few years now, RXmode has also performed dark electro music as a DJ in small clubs and at festivals. He recorded a dedicated mix for Arkada that takes you into the abyss. Have fun listening!

Mick is not an entertainer or superstar, but one of the few true artist dj’s left, someone for whom the music is still all that matters. Exhausted Modern is a project established by Czech musician Ladislav Zensor whose approach to sound creates metaphorical expression of fatigue which comes from living in a world where technology takes over. In his compositions accent is put on analogue sound with a slightly raw character. The percussive passages are interluded with melodic elements which altogether create very atypical, personal and often dystopic sound. Work of Exhausted Modern is regularly released on well-established labels as Brokntoys, Veyl or Rotterdam Electronix. He also releases his music thru label Endless Illusion which he co-founded together with Raphael Kosmos back in 2011. Together they as well create series of mixes for radio stations including Integalactic.FM. He always tries to bring unconventional glimpse into electronic music combining old forgotten tapes with the current avant-garde sound.

A recording above was done by Exhausted Modern at a Lithuanian festival - Supynes Playground 2019 - where he was invited by curators of that stage, online media platform Calypso Magazine. Accompanied by another artist, responsible for the live visual projections - Mgla2080, from Polish electro-industrial crew SYNTETYK, Exhausted Modern’s live set was taken to a new intense and unique sonic experience that audience could live through.

Gal Perez a.k.a. PRZ is an active record producer from Israel. Running the label Chateau Royal together with his partner in crime Rapha, PRZ is a vibrant force in the realm of synth-driven electro beats. His most recent involvement has been Pluto Junkies, a collaboration between three nomads – the aforementioned Rapha, PRZ and DT’s own Ernestas Sadau; their shredding debut EP “Flying Spaghetti Monstership” landed in stores just a few weeks before this conversation, having been released as the first 12’’ of Pinkman’s new subdivision, Minri. PRZ’s solo work has also been delivered by Housewax, Bauhaus Records and Parallax, always jam packed with sharp rhythms and melodies.
