..And for a moment, time stood still...

A sparse and hypnotic new song from Emika with dream-like vocals, marks a period of transience and growth for the artist.  ‘Sleep In The Day’ was recorded in Bristol in the UK earlier this year with Jim Barr at his studio.  They decided to do some improv sessions and use the studio more like a space to create freely.

Released on her new collaborative label 'Improvisations X Inspirations', artists will have the opportunity to transform the album making process, stripping back things to their raw emotions and inspired moments.  Giving artists and listeners alike, a different perspective to enjoy and appreciate. 

New music for a new time.  Emika is an artist that has always embraced change and challenges with a lot of creativity and openness to transform.  An attitude not un-similar to other artists she is connecting with for the new label.

While ‘Sleep In The Day’ and the launch of her new label continues her European electronic and modern classical adventures from Berlin to London, via Prague and Bristol, Emika has exciting new projects lined up for ‘Improvisations X Inspirations’ composer and organist  Katta, Electronic artists Schlindwein and Eomac, and Julien Marchal.
