Vertical67’s 13 track debut CD album including a remix by Wisp (Rephlex Records). Thomas Pahl, aka Vertical67, steps up with a full album after a few EP’s on labels like 100% Silk and Lunar Disko. Yet the longplay format surely isn't new to him, as his albums, dating back from 2008-2009 on Acroplane Recordings, prove. With Panta Rhei however, the analog guy from Berlin finds himself in a more calm, serene mood. Pahl made his interest in ambient music clear at an early stage with his ‘The Coloured Chaos’ project. While that project was based around the use of samples and a guitar, the project here is about synth driven textures. A versatile selection of 12 beautiful and very personal tracks. Deep, melancholic moods are present, as well as more lightweight and uplifting moments. To top off this project, Thomas’ friend and acclaimed producer Wisp, aka Reid Dunn (of Rephlex Records fame), delivers a remix of the opening track. With this album, Photic Fields initiate a series of CD releases, that focuses on the (even) more quiet, home-listening vein within the electronic music spectrum. Limited to 125 publicly available pressed CD copies. MP3 download cards included. "All entities move and nothing remains still".

Favouring the ravey side of techno, broken rhythms, low-swung electro and breakbeat, London-based Sybil turns in the the latest contribution to our mix series. 

Sybil is a founding member of the collective SIREN, a collection of DJs, artists with aims to “challenge and re-define current preconceptions within dance music.” Cutting her teeth on pivotal parties in the capital and beyond, Sybil drives to play hard and fast injected with an evident shot of fun. 

Easing us into the mix with explorative percussive tracks before rolling into moodier and heavier spacey electro and techno, buckle in for an hour-long sonic trip.

Samuel van Dijk aka Mohlao aka Multicast Dynamics aka VC-118A delivers a hauntingly good mix. Patient and prepared, slow and steady, this mix draws the listener in with masterful ease. VC-118A ducks and dives into the dark shadows of electro and the murky swamps of breakbeat. Nothing is rushed, the mix maintains an eery groove and a blend of proto-roboto gear and a chilling quiet. The boundaries of electro, ambient and techno are blurred into one monolithic mix.

When we asked @marco_shuttle if he wanted to podcast an excerpt of his all night set from Public Records in February, he responded that he really wanted to publish the whole set start to finish. so here you have it, nearly 6 hours of Marco playing to the very intimate dancefloor at The Bunker Limited at Public Records in Brooklyn. This set is quite a bit different than what you might normally hear him play at a big techno club or festival, and we're thrilled to present this side of Marco's sound.
