Dawn Razor / Adam Antine has been sending me music pretty much from the birth of the label and although he had a killer tune on Slam Jams Vol.2 I have always hoped that we would be able to make a full release come together.

Lo and behold he recently sent me a new batch and this time I simply had to say yes. These four are perfect for Submerged. Eyes down and bass heavy business from start to finish. Blending a mix of breakbeat, minimal and house, all are super hypnotic and ideal for the late night session goblins out there.

For the first time in our 25-year history, we are releasing a live solo recording by Craig Richards from the club. 

“This mix was recorded on the second of December at a Continuum party. I commenced just after five and finished at nine. The heady combination of nostalgia coupled with the past, the future and more importantly my daughter dancing next to me, resulted in a mix that I felt happy with. Historically, I have been very self-critical and have chosen not to release many mixes. Across nearly four hours this one seems to encapsulate the twenty five years of playing at fabric. In 1998 I was invited by Keith Reilly to play weekly at what was an imaginary nightclub. I had no idea that experience would continue for so many years. Playing vinyl on that sound system and mixer is highly exciting and a joy in itself. I am delighted that this has been my method of sonic communication and remain deeply grateful for my ongoing residency.” - Craig Richards

GLXY Recs returns with a wild bunch of artists, the first installment of this 2-part compilation is a transcontinental selection, taking you from South America to Middle East, uncovering gems in transit.

Prins Pasensi for instance, as his name suggests (pasensi, which means patience in Surinamese), you would expect a runway before take off. But nothing could be further from the truth. Expect a deep dive into native electronics with ‘Wawan’.
Black Cadmium never shuns a solid crossover. ‘Sen Turk Musun’ is the cement between gnarly 303 squelches and a Turkish ode to love.
Mo Wrights is a relatively new producer with an old soul, his debut track got released on the ‘Super Sonic Family’ comp series.
‘Elevation’ is proof of his musical range, playfulness and dedication.
EDMZ, the man is nothing more than an evergreen himself. After a lengthy run he’s experienced a lot of shifts in electronic music but he’s still set on pulling you back into those deep and dark moments with ‘Body Load’.
Photonz, a household name who is an elementary part Portuguese electronica and beyond. His track ‘Oblivion’ will send you on a wild goose chase only to leave you empty handed, yearning for more.
Last but not least, let’s head back to Brooklyn for Ryan Clover. It’s a pleasure to have him over after a string of high-profile releases.
‘I Know Y’all Hear me’ is the epitome of dance floor energy. A pure jump starter that will set the dance floor ablaze.

About the mix: House music and the underground culture that surrounds it are a social, cultural and political technology of collective abandonment that was organically designed by queer, latino and black crowds to bypass societal oppression in temporary spaces of suspension from such norms. It is a pure expression of freedom and community that, when done well, is able to bypass rigid barriers of class, race, gender, sexuality and background. My mix focusses on a mixture of old and new tracks that signal moments were I was able to feel the power of this music and understand that it counteracted and forced me to question my own socialisation as a white, heterossexual male, opening up new avenues for my own expression as a whole being that didn't have to adhere (and was invited to fight against) such normative conformities.

@Chrononautz are Dom Clare and Leon Carey, a duo of seasoned improv and experimental musicians deeply rooted in the underground music scene of Leeds. This last year was a pretty strong one for them: they dropped their excellent debut album 'Noments' on The Quietus' own record label; landed an instalment of the crucial Electronic Explorations podcast and brought their hardware-based, fully improvised live performance to a few key events of non-standard electronic music - their forthcoming appearance at Corsica Studios for the annual BleeD / Plex / Them bash is an absolute must see for those in London on November 6th.

The first music Dom and Leon ever put out as Chrononautz was 'Predestination', a hauntingly beautiful track that was released as the closing piece in our 2012 compilation 'Dead Cities Vol.1'. They now return to One Eyed Jacks with 'Made In Time', picking things up exactly where they had been left off. Sounding a bit like the intersection between Rhythm & Sound and Minimal Wave, 'Made In Time' is fast-paced analogue techno with dub flair, moving forward with a slow/fast rhythm that throbs away hypnotically with minimal-like restraint. The resulting pulse serves as canvas for sparsely placed and vastly spacious sonic events, all of this improvised in long hours of jam sessions meticulously recorded without exception. This EP was compiled by Photonz from a generous pool of session recordings sent by the guys during a period of 2 years between 2012 and 2014.
