The original idea for this collaboration with Véronique Buyer Créations was a figure of speech she likes: Out of the blue. Meaning something that happened unexpectedly but also with ideas of movement (out of) and color (not any color but her favorite, blue), this expression seemed to be a perfect source of inspiration. From it, she thought about an encounter and a troubling feeling. For the artwork, Véronique wanted to use one of the quality of the linoprinting technic: reproductivity. With the repetitive print, the two silhouettes seem to replicate, indicating the unsettlement whilst evocating musical waves. The blue handmade Lokta paper was an obvious choice for the figures to emerge from.
