Born in A Coruña (Spain) in 1984, Francisco Martínez, aka Lefrenk, is passionate about electronic music in all its expressions and trends.

Since 2000, with over 100 tracks released, Lefrenk has been a driving force in the electronic music scene. He is an inspirational artist who continues to push boundaries with his work.

His upcoming EP, 'PLASTIC', features 3 of his own tracks, as well as 4 remixes by the most sought-after DJs and producers in our genre and close to our label.

During the years of 2021 and 2022, the artist crafted these tracks along with many more. Lefrenk has studied the roots of this characteristic genre of electronica by analyzing its development since its inception and forecasting its future evolution. His music draws influence from various genres like Electro, Techno, and more - featuring harder rhythms and complex melodies to spacey sounds and strong bass. His musical legacy is eclectic, currently leaning towards a faster, cybernetic, futuristic, modern, and spacey electro and techno path without forgetting the essence of the past.

London-based label and collective Cartulis Music announce their fifteenth release titled “Twilight Expanse” by New York producer Ebeats. A reissue from the early noughties featuring a previously unreleased Ebeats cut plus two new remixes by the legendary Radioactive Man and FOLD associate Voicedrone. The title track is one near and dear to the spirit of Cartulis – an emotive journey through hazy breakbeats, sirens from faraway lands, dramatic narratives battling through each other in a nine minute long piece of music. The rest of the record swings from club-ready techno grooves to various shades of electro–dark and dubby or bright and punchy.

Echoes of Mystery

To commemorate the remastered release of The Gulf Gate Project's very first track Top Gear, Toast & Jam HQ sought out a brand new batch of remixers to give Top Gear a 2020 spin.  Kid Panel kicks us off with his down and dirty reworking, fusing the Top Gear melody with his signature production technique.  We then shift gears to Retroid, who always delivers a progressive breaks journey through synths and strings.  Rounding out the package, we turned to our friend Alt-A who used the Top Gear melodies within some brand new synth sounds to create a truly unique take on this classic Gulf Gate Project jam.
