The monthly "Clen's List" playlists comes from the great music that comes across on Soundcloud each month. Of course this wouldn't be possible without the work of all the producers, reposters, promoters, and suggestions from others, so thanks and big up to everyone out there sharing and producing these sounds.

Another goal of these lists is to promote the artists producing the tunes. There are some really incredible less known productions that float around and just don't wind up in the "spotlight". By including these productions in the lists, hopefully these great works get their time in the spotlight.

Look out for a new list around the end of each month.

P.S. Overtime the lists lose tracks that were originally included. I do not know if this is due to artists removing their tracks from Soundcloud (or the tracks get bought by a record company and then removed), or if there is another reason. I will try to keep these lists as up to date and as close to how they were originally as best as possible. As of February 2014 the original list will be in the bottom of the description.

As the old saying goes, you wait so long something and then two turn up in a row. Head honcho Goldie is back on the firm after his solo single ‘Broken Man’ end of 2015 with two versions of absolute Rufige Kru classics. First up is SCAR’s remix of Dark Rider, premiered by Goldie himself at Deviation to an massive crowd reaction- SCAR bring Dark Rider into 2016 in inimitable style.
Beachdrifta is perhaps Rufige Kru’s most seminal moment and  the VIP pushes it out to another realm with Cleveland Watkiss vocal, a voice synonymous with Goldie’s classic work.

Mako has gone from strength to strength. He had a stellar year in 2015, he released an EP on the main Metalheadz label and put the finishing touches to the OneMind project in collaboration with DLR that has resulted in an album forthcoming for Headz.
This brings us to 2016 and the release of ‘The Third EP’. The tracks develop the theme Mako has been crafting- stark soundscapes move across well executed breaks and basslines, all in all a massive release for Mako. The artist grows in confidence with each release and it’s great to be able showcase this on Headz.

Nearing on two years since his last outing with Proximity, Tom Small returns, bringing with him only fire. Known for his hard rollers, Tom Small shows us what he knows best offering some of the finest in Drum & Bass. With support from some of the most respected producers and selectors in the game: Amoss, Bredren, RoyGreen & Protone, Rido, and Fre4knc to name a few on an increasingly growing list.
Black Angel starts us off in style; a nice little shadowy roller that’s sure to get a killer reaction. This is one for any arsenal with excellent manipulation of low end and truly cross spectrum sound. Track number two moves us into the eerie, further into the recesses of sound. Again keeping up the pace, with Falling Walls Tom Small harmonises thick hard hitting bass with wobble in a completely unique way. The power dynamic between the two is a joy to listen to, each one battling out for dominance of the track. 
Raucous toms lead the sound in Future Time, in addition to unimaginable mid range noises, all before we reach the drop. The title track has certainly earned its spot and doesn’t fail to deliver the epitome of energy. The highlight however is as the tune lets up in the middle and teases that rumbling bass stripped back of all but a few futuristic squelches before serving up its hard sound once more.
Detailed ends the EP in style, bringing with it all you would expect. With an experimental drum pattern that still hits all the right groove chords, all you can do is rock out. A fitting end to an outstanding display; this one’s a keeper.

The track opens in ghostly fashion, ringing out with vapour like highs. A steady kick drum begins to lure a rolling drum beat out of hiding. When full track sets in you’re left with a crowd-pleasing roller, with an unremitting bassline. The ease with which Remorse VIP can make you move is criminal, it’s a sure fire dancefloor killer.

Soul Deep Recordings and Furney are proud to present new Sunsets EP, now available on Soul Deep Exclusives!!  Furney has been cranking out impressive tunes for what seems like an eternity.  His style is easily recognizable and is unmatched in the production world.  Furney's latest effort is a 4 track EP, which varies in style, but has some of the deepest samples that you'll ever hear.  "Sunsets", kicks things off in stylish fashion with it's cinematic strings samples, subtle rhodes chords, heavy amen drums, and rolling sub bassline.  Classic Furney vibes on this one.  "Rapid Eye Movement", takes over next with it's scratchy record efx, deep reverberated chords, chugging percussion, and smooth bassline.  The song twists and turns throughout the abyss, while evoking memories and emotions that lye within.  "I'm Known as Danni Around These Parts", is a jazzy Drum & Bass work out that is groovy from beginning to end.  The Amen drums and jazzy chords bring the listener to the break down.  When the drop hits, the bassline takes over and rolls smoothly underneath the layers of musical bliss.  "Not Far Now", finishes off the EP in impressive fashion with it's revolving synth line, swanky horn samples, and booming bassline.  From beginning to end, this EP ranks up there with Furney's best.  Essential!!

U.K based Conspire drops his latest EP on Smooth N Groove Records. With previous releases on Technique, Soul Deep and most recently an exclusive vinyl release celebrating 25 years of the mighty Skeleton Recordings. His productions have enabled him to DJ at events promoted by Perception and Break Thu alongside some of the scenes top DJ's and producers from the likes of Goldie, Marcus Intalex, and Skanna. His recent collaboration track with Payback 'Skyline' is also receiving heavy support by scene legend LTJ Bukem.

Available across all online stores from the 30th October, the 'Proof of Life' EP is typical of the production expected by Conspire. With masterful amen work in 'Celestial' or the dark intelligent rolloing sounds of 'Rhode Trip' this EP provides some of Conspire's latest and best work to date.
