Scorching the scene with the label’s firebrand debut late last year, Chris.SU’s FATE imprint returns! Double the density, double the destiny… With these four massive cuts, FATE Recordings have the future of drum & bass in the palm of their hands. 

Three originals, one instrumental: the Hungarian hero – who’s slapped us into submission for many years on labels such as Mainframe, Bad Taste, Subtitles and Spearhead – has teamed up with some of the most respected individuals possible to create something truly special. Be under no illusions: this is big!

We launch with the breath-taking title track. Shimmering with the smouldering soul of MC Fedora (who last fronted with Chris.SU on last year’s massive ‘Guardian Angel’) and the golden tones of the legendary Stamina MC, it’s a subversive showstopper that not only drives any crowd deep into a trance-like state with its rushy synths and slippery basses… It also showcases some the best vocal skills we’ve ever heard from an MC partnership. Genuine lyrics, bona fide harmonies, serious skills. Drop it and watch your floor melt.   

Next up: ‘Above Earth’. Here we find Chris teaming up with long-term partners in grime State Of Mind. Their complementary styles and signatures already more than established, this is a chop-busting lesson in undiluted heavyweight sickness. Pneumatic steppy riddims, savage textures and tears and an overall finish that’s rougher than a sandpaper massage, it’s devilishly dirty!

Finally we hit ‘Stereotype’. A track that belies and defies its pigeonhole moniker, this creative fusion between Chris and fellow Hungarian troupe Spinline has resulted in a purring, space-bound roller that oozes metallic menace while remaining deep, driving and understated.   

Complete with an instrumental version of ‘Illusion Of Choice’, this really is a massive EP that will resonate with all corners of the drum & bass floor. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it now and we’ll say it in the future, too: It’s time to start believing in FATE.

This is the second release from the recently reformed Skeleton Recordings. 
Nightmares, originally released on a clear vinyl back in 1993 (Cat No. SKEL010), is a well known dark Amen roller produced by DJ Monita that used to be played regular on the airwaves of pirate stations. 
The tune has been giving a good rework by some very creditable producers to bring the tempo and feel up to todays standards. Monita carefully picked the artists he wanted to remix his original version and decided on choosing some of the best up and coming, talented artists that are really getting a lot of recognition from within the scene.
Keeping the original dark feel to track, Ricky Force, Threshold, Crisis & Ikon-B and Charlie Turbo & Mpathy all give their take on four brand new versions for the dark cold nights of 2014. 
The edits through the remixes are sure to leave all Amen lovers rubbing their hands together. 
Breaks are rolling, subs are low and the mood is dark.

PHUTURE-T @ 9 YEARS OF JUNGLE SYNDICATE

Episode 2 in the Dubz ReRubbed series brings another 4 killa remixes from the GHETTO DUB crew. Kicking off with Brian Brainstorms take on THIS WAY, one of the most reloaded tunes from the Ghetto Dubz Volume 1 album by the almighty Aries & Nicky Blackmarket. Brian has taken what was already a great track and sprinkled it with his own special blend of herbs and spices, making it even more of a dance floor hit. The old skool vibes of the original, combined with his own unique jungle sound really works a treat. Ikon B & Crisis are next up and what they have done with Sanxion’s DOPE STORIES tune is nothing short of epic. Keeping the feel of the original but taking it up a level. The drums are punchy and the bassline is a real groover, guaranteed to keep em glued to the dance floor . Deep and dark vibes next from Ghetto Dub’s very own Secure Unit who has tackled MUSICAL RUSH and made it a real heads-down bass bin shaking monster of a track, not for the faint hearted. Finally, a rising star from Bristols ever pulsating Jungle/D&B scene making his first appearance on Ghetto Dub, the man like AUDIOMISSION. Taking on CUT IT LOOSE, an early track from the catalogue by label bosses Vinyl Junkie & Rachael EC themselves. Whilst maintaining the vibes of the original, he has added more layers of colour and transformed the track into a cool jungle workout with a funked up bassline and killer beats to boot. All 4 of these are sure to be in the bag, for real.
