We're happy to announce the upcoming release of the new project from K-OTIX — "Legendary"! You can pre-order it right from this page. $30 for your choice of color vinyl, digital download, a 11" x 17" poster, and a sticker. 

In case you've been wondering what the crew has been up to since Universal dropped, here goes: They jumped into about 3 world tours to promote the album. The ARE dropped Hustler's Theme while Big Mon and Damien came with The Black Album. Then they teamed up with Kay of the Foundation for Ethos. Then The ARE started producing for Keyshia Cole, Lil Kim and LL Cool J, to name a few. Mon and D brought 48 Seasons to life, along with the internet-breaking "George Bush Doesn't Care About Black People". The ARE kept producing for people that you know, then released his Here, My Dear album flip to show you that he still got it. Damien got his hands dirty working with H.I.S.D., Radio Galaxy, and Kashmere Don (aka D Rose). The latter even resulted in a collaboration called RandleRose.

Which brings us back to Legendary. At some point a couple of years ago, they slowed down time long enough to begin putting together the long-awaited OG trio follow up to Universal. 

The cover was custom crafted by the extremely talented Houston based mixed media artist and painter Santos Guerrero. We're even offering the vinyl in 2 colors, because no buying decision should be that easy. If you can't decide, just get both. Of course, the download is included in the price. You wanna keep the wax clean, right?

Anyhow, this is the official start of the journey towards Legendary. Now, we have  to tell you - the vinyl pressing plant told us to expect the records in about 15 weeks, which means that we anticipate them going out to you in January. We'll definitely let you know when the vinyl is on its way from the plant, and will ship everything IMMEDIATELY upon receiving it.

You might want to order it as soon as possible. We're only doing 300 pieces. And if recent history has taught us anything, it's going to go FAST. Thanks in advance for supporting this project, and thanks for rocking with KO for nearly a quarter of a century.

Big Twins delivers one of his most emotionally gripping tracks to date with “Memories,” a heartfelt ode to lost family members, featuring Havoc, with stunning production supplied by Knxwledge.

Knx’s instrumental sets the tone for the track with layers of angelic samples paired beautifully with hard-hitting percussion. It’s Boom bap with a truly soulful tinge, and Big Twins’s raspy vocals complement the beat perfectly. He pays homage to the passing of his fraternal twin, Twin Scarface with thoughtful, gripping rhymes about losing his best friend and finally gaining the strength to live on.

Fellow Queensbridge heavyweight Havoc shares a similar story in his bars as he, too, sadly lost his own brother, Killa Black. Like Big Twins, Hav raps about pulling through the pain and continuing on with his life in spite of it all, and it’s hard not to get choked up when he refers to his late Mobb Deep partner, Prodigy, who passed away in June 2017: “I know you there with P and you just lightin’ up/ Up there in the heavens with your eye on us.”

Black Milk’s hard kick and crisp snare mimic the darkness surrounding this type of environment in a predatory and cunning manor. The bell’s melodic top line heard throughout the track adds to the predatory feeling. Konny and Tyler’s delivery is rough yet exacting, delivering contained aggression and desperation experienced in a low socio-economic neighbourhood hypnotized by drugs on every street corner. 
  
Despite the heaviness of a reality known to some, Children Of Zeus and Black Milk continue to touch on subject matters relevant to their audience, grounded in everyday life circumstances. It’s safe to say, there will be more news regarding these artists in the not too distant future.
