KiNK's debut album 'Under Deconstruction' is set to drop soon via Macro and once again Strahil Velchev has bucked the trend and served up a highly unique and intelligent long player. It's mechanical, it's robotic, it sounds like a computer questioning its own existence on a human planet. It's great.

Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation and three vinyl samplers of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection.

This second sampler pulls together three tracks of deep, dubby and ambient music from French producer duo Polar Inertia, Remote_ and Sweden's Varg. His track 'Ohns Odegard' is a serene and autumnal bit of ambient with swollen pads and incidental synths making for a soothing atmosphere. Remote_'s 'Echo Of You' is just as wide open and serene but has a warm, rubbery pulse driving it along and finally Polar Inertia gets a little frazzled and intense with their loopy slow techno roller 'Sonic Outlaws'.

Sideral is the debut 12'' of Talaboman, the super-duo of Hivern Discs' John Talabot and Studio Barnhus' Axel Boman. The record is released as a joint venture between the labels and comes with a slow-burning remix by Köln-based producer Matt Karmil to accompany the boombastic original version, which was also featured on John Talabot's much praised entry in the DJ-Kicks mix series last year. 

This record is dedicated to the legendary dj Aleix “Sideral” Vergés, who ruled over Barcelona's underground discotecas during the turn of the millennium and sadly passed away in 2006. A truly fearless and idiosyncratic dj, Sideral mixed genres wildly and brilliantly, uniting in the dance people from all kinds of musical backgrounds. At a time when few djs dared cross musical borders, he was a real inspiration for both the Barcelona native Talabot and the young Swede Boman, who lived in the city during the peak of Sideral's reign.

2014 had a flying start with Radial's 2nd album and the first release of his new imprint Radial Records. 'Crux' received massive support from the public, dj's and press, and now we present you a package of gorgeous remixes by some of the strongest players in techno music today, combined with fine remix work by some highly talented producers from Holland.

First up is Anton Pieete who has just released a very strong 2x12”on Rejected. He brings us back to the basics of 'Karplus' with a stripped-back but heavy approach with only one thing in mind: the dance floor. Patrik Skoog needs no introduction of course and his funky but chunky mix of 'Fifth Wheel' will leave no one sitting still, Patrik at his best!

On the flip side it's Darko Esser a.k.a. Tripeo taking control. He has delivered two amazing remixes both under his Tripeo alias and his own name. Enriching the original tracks with some signature leads.
Three digital-only bonus remixes  finish off this release in style. Some lesser known names but the results are all the more interesting. Shadowboxer who also forms 'Sinecure' together with Radial brings us a bass heavy remix with noisy stabs and metallic hats. Colophon chooses a more trippy approach all built on the warmth of an organic and  evolving bass line. Finally we welcome back an old friend and former member of Radial: Boyconstrictor with his fast-paced version of 'Tipsy'.

Laurent Garnier is the sort of artist that needs little introduction. Responsible for some of the biggest dance music tracks of all time, the prolific Frenchman has put his remix gloves on once more to work his magic on Copy Paste Soul's 'The Fall.

His nine-minute edit glides seamlessly between meandering basslines, prolonged builds and of course the understated yet driving progression that we've come to expect from the expert. A true masterclass in remixing.
