コロナ禍で失われた週末に思いを馳せて作り上げた架空のサウンドトラック。　淡く何処までも続くメロウなメロディー、そしてローファイかつダビーなエフェクト処理された音像。彼らの膨大な引き出しから様々な素材を引っ張り出して一気に作り上げた作品集。

メロウネス溢れる『Lost Weekend Suite』はPart.1からPart.4までが連なった組曲でこのアルバムのハイライト・トラックと言える意欲作。
エキゾ～ムード音楽的なサンプルが印象的な『Sunshine is Golden』、『Sweet Thing』、
そしてSlowly名義でのスマッシュ・ヒット作Not Over Youを再構築した『It’s Not Over Yet』、ラストはChicによるオリジナル楽曲で、Robert Wyattの名演でも知られる『At Last I Am Free』でフィニッシュ。
エキゾ～バレアリック、チルアウトの新たな名作の誕生です。

Mercredi 4 décembre, Konbini Radio recevait l’instrumentiste, producteur et DJ @neue-grafik sur ses ondes. Animé par la house, le hip-hop et surtout le jazz, Fred N’thepe, de son vrai nom, nous a partagé sa vision du jazz actuel à travers un mix exclusif. Il raconte :

"Voici un mix dédié à cette vision si particulière, mixte, originale, riche et inspirante du jazz actuel, souvent venu d’outre-Manche. J’ai voulu mettre en avant mes derniers coups de cœur et inspirations, avec une majorité de morceaux sortis cette année."

Neue Grafik vient de sortir Foulden Road EP, un mélange de jazz, broken-beat et de hip-hop qu’il joue régulièrement en live accompagné de son ensemble. Enivrante, la prestation du groupe vaut le détour, son dernier passage dans l’église St. James The Great (Londres) pour la Church Of Sound, s’est fait particulièrement remarquer.

Les aficionados de jazz pourront retrouver Neue Grafik le mardi 10 décembre au New Morning (Paris), une date qu’on vous recommande chaudement.

The homie Glenn Astro, who has releases with Ninja Tune and Tartelet under his belt, asked his longtime friend and collaborator Hodini (also known to hip-hop heads as Hulk Hodn) to work on a joint tune. “Wiggum & Lloyd” is by far the jazziest track on the compilation, building up around an incredible bassline and wonky synth layers.
