I had a wonderful day Listening to a New circle of Musicians here on Saturna. 

So nourishing!  Cello, Grand Piano, and a lovely Alto Vocalist.

Looking forward to jamming with each and all of them.

All in all, as many say here on Saturna Island... "Another Day in Paradise'.

And saying that... i am also deeply aware of all the 'other kinda stuff' that continues to go on in our world as i continue to hope and cheer on basic human decency, appreciation and Thankfulness.

In addition to my family, the greatest riches in life are my circle of close, faithful friends.  Some of these friends are a part of my daily life; others are friends that I may not see very often but when I do, it’s like we’ve never been apart.  

Friends make life sweeter and also help cushion the blows when life gets hard. Thinking today about the strength, joy, and inspiration that comes from all cherished, faithful friends, and grateful for them all.

The first version of this in 2005 was a reaction to nationalism as exhibited via plane hijackings. This time the US border politics triggered a rewrite with a different chord structure and words. Just acoustic guitar and bass: back to basics!
