Vendrá un viento del sur a golpear en las puertas cerradas y en los vidrios a golpear en los rostros de agrios gestos.

Vendrán alegres oleajes ruidosos subiendo las veredas y calles silenciosas:por el barrio del puerto.

Que se lave la cara de la ciudad endurecida
sus piedras y maderas polvorientas, raídas
su corazón sombrío.

Que por lo menos haya asombro en las opacas miradas taciturnas.

Y que muchos se asusten y los niños se rían
y el verdor de la luz del agua nos despierte
nos bañe, nos persiga.

Que nos de por correr y abrazarnos que se abran las puertas de todas las casas y salga la gente por las escaleras, desde los balcones llamándose…

In The Rain - Timothy McGuire Mix

The first cold winds of Autumn arrived last evening and with them a time of reflection. If Spring is the season of "Hello", surely Autumn is the season of "Goodbye".  The farewells can be bittersweet, whether to a fragrant garden or fragrant friendship, but the bitter lasts only a moment but the sweet remains in our remembering.
