My Grandmother Annie V. Coleman was an accomplished classical pianist in Washington, DC. She also played for silent movies and was a terrific stride pianist as well.

It is St Louis ragtime composer/performer Jerry Cammack(1890-1963), talking about and playing his rags and others, recorded in East St Louis, I believe the early 1960s...  Cammack plays his "Rag La Joie" and his "Tom and Jerry", as well as several other tunes.

Recently discovered in Australia, this is the disk for Vitaphone #418, PAULINE ALPERT IN 'WHAT PRICE PIANO".  Made in December 1926. The film exists so if we can get the disk over here it can be restored. Alpert was a legendary pianist, admired by Gershwin, and she made many piano rolls.  This is a major discovery ad while this transfer isn't the best, a professional cleanup will restore it to its original Western Electric glory.
