Renowned German DJ and producer Boris Brejcha has joined forces with long-term collaborator Ginger on new single ‘Spicy’, out 2nd April via Ultra.
A melodic techno track that’s fizzing with refined dancefloor energy, ‘Spicy’ combines driving snares, delicate piano chords and Ginger’s fleeting vocals as it gracefully builds in intensity throughout. The track marks the first in a line of singles planned throughout the rest of 2021, culminating in the release of Boris Brejcha’s new album in November.

Solitude

I heard this song (https://soundcloud.com/rynweaver/ryn-weaver-octahate) two days ago and loved the melody, the production, the layers in each section and of course Ryn Weaver's voice. Unable to think of anything else, I buckled down all day yesterday and made this remix. Whereas the song itself is an upbeat summery track, this maintains that summer vibe but more laid back, a dozing off at the beach kind of vibe I guess. Anyways, enjoy.

Fun projects need to be shared. In this case I like to give away my newest fun project - I did in my free time. Hashtag is a combination of five elements in one track. With the focus on a snare drum roll, a upward pitching part, a melody, a fat baseline and acid elements. Acid in that case means, crazy sounds in a groovy beat. Hope you like it - have fun.

Elements of every single EP or LP that I've released thus far can be heard on this along with new facets of my music that hadn't been touched upon before. It's equal parts glitch, ambient, noise, drone and rock and yet is probably my most accessible album to date.

This song came up on my reddit feed last week and has been stuck in my head ever since, so I thought I'd try remixing it. I must admit that I don't listen to a lot (read: any) hip hop or rap, so this was extremely challenging.

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - Reborn (Pie Are Squared Remix)

Written between Cairo, Istanbul and Hurghada and clocking in at less than 5 minutes; this is a whole new sound for Pie. Beat heavy, classically influenced, tonnes of reverb and a couple of guitars hidden in the mix.

Dreamscape (in C Major)

Whenever a song comes along that forces me to listen to it over and over again, on loop for hours, I feel I have to try remixing it in order to know it better, to try to break it down to its elements and find what it is that makes me incapable of stopping to listen to it. Another track that I made as part of my coursework at school and ended up liking quite a  bit. It's really different than anything I've done before, pretty uptempo, no instruments recorded, just a lot of sampling and stuff. Enjoy [available for download as always]
