Farewell

I heard this song (https://soundcloud.com/rynweaver/ryn-weaver-octahate) two days ago and loved the melody, the production, the layers in each section and of course Ryn Weaver's voice. Unable to think of anything else, I buckled down all day yesterday and made this remix. Whereas the song itself is an upbeat summery track, this maintains that summer vibe but more laid back, a dozing off at the beach kind of vibe I guess. Anyways, enjoy.

SONOIO's "Blue" is probably my most listened to album in the past two years and Alessandro Cortini (https://soundcloud.com/alessandrocortini) is a personal hero of mine, so it only seemed fitting to remix one of my favourite tracks of his. This is meant to be listened to as loud as possible through decent headphones/speakers.

SONOIO - Hold On, Let Go [Pie Are Squared Remix]

Using the slope as an oscillator, one can tweak the size of the cycle to change the relative pitch compared to the original osc. By doing this, it gives the impression of two instruments playing separately.

0-coast is sequenced by wogglebug (w manual & automatic intervention via attenuators & quantizer) & branches for cv & gate respectively, slow LFO from maths opening the decay on 0-coast while decreasing the probability of gates from branches.  drone is 4xSTOs w/ their shapes being modified by E102 & the shaped outputs mixed thru QMMG.  erbeverb, phonogene & strymon el capistan on aux sends

Late night 70's meanderings. Started with a sequence using the Microbrute's sequencer, tweaked and recorded live, then layered some leads (if you can call them that) over the top. All Microbrute, recorded using Cubasis on an iPad with AuFX Dub and Altispace for delay and reverb.

A quick first test recording - I just wanted to hear a single VCO and the filter in isolation first.  I start with the triangle wave, then introduce the saw, followed by the square with PWM using the filter's 3 attenuated audio inputs. Later introducing some emphasis/resonance and back to just the triangle wave. Very simple stuff.  More involved recordings and videos soon to follow featuring this beautiful sounding instrument.

A (very) slow evolving soundscape all done using only the Make Noise 0-Coast and a bunch of pedals. Will probably be part of my project to make an album or EP using only the 0-coast, SQ-1 and pedals.

Three and a Half (Make Noise 0-Coast) *EP OUT NOW*

A new track to include in my EP based around using the Make Noise​ 0-Coast as the sole sound source for everything. Sequenced by the KORG​ SQ-1 and running it through Ableton​ Live's resonator and reverb, it's soundscapey, ambient and with a whole lot of feedback generated by hitting the resonator exactly at the right spot via the 0-Coast's Overtone circuit.
