DESTITUTE label is back with our fourth release - the last one we have for you in 2021. This time we’re bringing you More Balance / خاڪو by ABADIR, a producer hailing from Cairo and currently stationed in Berlin, and 3HDSafxri, a producer that has been working within the Polish experimental scene for a long, long time. After the club constructions of our previous release this one plays with genres and breaks them down to create music that is as gentle and emotional as it is dramatic and hard hitting.

The entire proceeds from this release will be given to Chlebem i Solą - a Polish charity that is currently working way too hard to manage the migrant crisis on our border with Belarus.

Mohammed Ashraf aka Pie are Squared is a producer and DJ from Egypt currently living in Ravenna, Italy.

I heard this song (https://soundcloud.com/rynweaver/ryn-weaver-octahate) two days ago and loved the melody, the production, the layers in each section and of course Ryn Weaver's voice. Unable to think of anything else, I buckled down all day yesterday and made this remix. Whereas the song itself is an upbeat summery track, this maintains that summer vibe but more laid back, a dozing off at the beach kind of vibe I guess. Anyways, enjoy.

Gratitude (feat. Ali Soliman)

This song generates a musical sequence using EEG brain wave data of an anonymous epilepsy patient. It examines the periods before, during, and after a seizure. The goal is to give the listener an empathetic and intuitive understanding of the brain’s neural activity during a seizure.

Please note: I have no formal education or training with diagnosing or interpreting a seizure using EEG brain scan data. I have done my own research to the best of my abilities, but all in all, this is a purely creative endeavor and should in no way be interpreted as scientific research or be used in any context other than in this creative one. For sake of transparency, I have detailed my process for creating this song in the link below and have made all relevant code publicly accessible. Annie Clark (https://soundcloud.com/st_vincent) is one of my guitar heroes and her self-titled album from a couple of years ago is something that I keep coming back to over and over again. Since I'm on a bit of a remixing kick at the moment, I thought this track would be perfect source material, and it didn't prove me wrong. The sheer emotion in the track is what I tried to zero in on and kinda accentuate, to create something that really pulls at the heart strings.
