7th Floor - VTOL Hangar, Hazardous/Explosive Disposal, High Attitude Rail Gun Battery

Hi! Welcome to the Armamentarium and it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Dr. Becca, and I run the flight control center here. Please keep your voices low as you walk past our flight operations center and take a look at our men and women hard at work at coordinating hundreds of flights, both atmospheric and orbital. Our combat hangars are suited with the latest models of heavy lift VTOL multipurpose aircraft, as well as a miniaturized manufactorium for a variety of drone packages to your choosing. If you want something bigger that can launch ordnance with time dilation options, you can give our sister orbital station St. Helen's a visit up at our Martian  facility.  

Now, as we traverse down this hallway, we see here on our left our hazardous and explosive disposal unit. Powered by our antimatter fusion de-moleculizer, we can safety dispose a variety of  hazardous waste and explosives, including unknown foreign or ex-sol matter that have made their way on your ships. Extra Eartian munitions can be traded in as well, in exchange for NAFS certified fuel cells or exclusive VIP packages including HumanMaschine guided tours and shopping credits at our arcology complex. If you require more information, please use your touch-to-touch augments on any of the plastic andriod brainheads here. Don’t bother the dummies who are bald though, the ones with the red and black stripes on  their uniforms; they’re security personnel currently quarantining a rogue trader.

I don’t actually control the High Attitude Rail Gun battery from here, but if you want THAT tour, go to Level 8 and see if Delia can give you the tour herself. Cheers and have a good one, I have shit to do.

The Saint

Rolling and Thatching is the second track featured in Joe Farr's RPM EP. 

On January 29th Joe Farr will make his Bloc debut with a three-track EP, titled 'RPM'.

Farr has a diverse catalogue, with three well-received releases on Turbo as well as records with DSNT, Leisure System and Power Vacuum. Few producers can claim to have remixed Tiga and been remixed by Truss.

Though Farr has an extensive history with Bloc, this will be his first outing on the label, a release that incorporates sounds that both Bloc and Joe are famed for.
The first track, 'RPM' features prominently in the Bloc festival trailer and is the soundtrack to the 2016 event. Hissing high hats and an atmospheric baseline quickly develop into an explosive anthem designed to get feet moving. 'Rolling and Thrashing' conveys an immediate punch of 90’s acid, followed by techno heavy 'Workout Three' with crunching beats and an unremitting delivery worthy of the Berghain dance floor.

Ontal - PI02.1

The Emergence LP is just a small part of a larger audio-visual project, with many pieces of music that feature in the live shows but not on the album. Panned is a track that came from experiments with live surround sound shows where I use 6 or more channels to create spatial forms for each piece of music. I wanted to bring this experience to a stereo format, so I created a track with every element hard panned, with some extreme sounds to enforce the effect. 

The track is also built around some experiments with looping audio through analogue pedals - distortion, ring mod and delay. I had a lot of fun pushing the limits and making them squeal in a heavy sort of way, which lent itself to this intense form of track. (I also used some of the results in Trust, in a more subtle form).

That intensity was something which seemed a better fit for Joe than the normal album tracks, and I love his work and was keen to get him involved with the project, so we jumped in with a remix of Panned.

Max Cooper has a vested interest in the intersection of scientific inquiry and forward-thinking electronic music. Cellular Automata is the new album from Dopplereffekt (Rudolf Klorzeiger and To-Nhan), their first in ten years since 2007’s Calabi Yau Space on Rephlex.

Cellular Automata approaches mathematical growth and decay as an iterative process, with each data input considered individually relative to the overall model. The result represents one of the group’s boldest creative endeavors, defying expectations while remaining unmistakably Dopplereffekt.
