Just bought Space Engine. This would be perfect sa soundtrack to that!

I’m getting a wonderful and weightless vibe from this all that seems to defy gravity. A deeply moving listening experience where it’s hard to tell where the sounds begin and where they end. Everything just seems to morph and flow so smooth and effortlessly. Incredible work in the creation of this piece !!

A recording of Cadet Ramshackle's came unexpectedly into the possession of our dessert chef, Luftenant Grangier of Marla Maples, whilst he was cleaning the cabbage farmed from Jipplestock Realm in Warezz Place. We submit this song for your precision analysis. Help us determine the source of poor Ramshackle's malaise.

This started when I was messing around with some softsynth VST's I hadn't used before and landed upon a sound I liked using one called Prodigious Synth.  I laid down a bit of an upward melodic progression with the pianoroll and that became the basis for the song.

Somewhere along the way I threw in some radio clips from the Apollo program and kept tinkering with it the last few weeks until it has become a sort of series of set pieces hinging around the same melodic cues.

I had some fun messing with some pictures of the Apollo 11 moon landing to make the track art as well.  You can see the full resolution image here: https://i.imgur.com/3xaHWcX.jpg

Hello dear Soundcloud listeners,

I'm still determined to continue producing music, the music of Pier Will, which can only be heard on Soundcloud and which can also be recorded... for now.

The world of music is rapidly moving towards a huge upheaval where the true musician will very quickly become "rare," or even more and more of a shadow, a peculiarity, a memory. This time is not so far away, as AI takes a predominant place in everything that touches us and surrounds us and in Music, this can already be heard very clearly!

Apparently, everyone is taking this lightly, and the few diehards are being sneered at as anti-progress terrorists, for now. I already have two work computers disconnected from the internet, which house my software and everything I need to work. No more updates for them to work properly... updates are only necessary if you need to connect! Another computer is dedicated solely to internet connection and will be used exclusively for streaming the tracks.

This decision has serious consequences for my production, as there are no more options to add anything to it. It's a gamble, but for me, it's an obligation to remain completely independent and free from AI.

Ce temps n'est pas si lointain, car l'IA prend une place prépondérante dans tout ce qui nous touche et nous entoure, et en musique, cela se voit déjà très clairement !

Apparemment, tout le monde prend cela à la légère, et les quelques irréductibles sont méprisés comme des terroristes anti-progrès, pour l'instant. J'ai déjà deux ordinateurs de travail déconnectés d'Internet, qui hébergent mes logiciels et tout ce dont j'ai besoin pour travailler. Plus besoin de mises à jour pour qu'ils fonctionnent correctement… les mises à jour ne sont nécessaires que si vous avez besoin de vous connecter ! Un autre ordinateur est dédié uniquement à la connexion Internet et sera utilisé exclusivement pour le streaming des morceaux.

Cette décision a de graves conséquences sur ma production, car il n'y a plus aucune possibilité d'y ajouter quoi que ce soit. C'est un pari risqué, mais pour moi, c'est une obligation de rester totalement indépendant et libre de toute IA.
