Post isolation, the time of recharging, renewal and the deconstruction of our lives during Winter surrender to the FIRENIGHT. Allow the new World to takes us on the path of rebirth, resurrection and awakening.
There is always more to unveil and experience when we are able to break free from the limitations held by a previous version of ourselves and a previous world we all built.
How do we move through these walls ?

Light and Darkness

On a cold, moonless night, Light and Darkness met in a deserted forest. The Light was nothing more than a weak spark, barely more than a glow. The Darkness was all-encompassing, thick as ink and impenetrable.

Darkness: "What are you doing here, little spark? Can't you see this is my realm? I devour everything that comes in my way."

Light: "I may be small, but I am still here. And as long as I exist, I am a sign of hope."

Darkness laughed deeply and thunderously, like an approaching storm.

Darkness: "Hope? You are nothing! A small breath is enough to extinguish you."

The Light flickered slightly, but it stood firm.

Light: "Perhaps you can extinguish me, but even in my disappearance, the memory of me remains. And wherever there is a spark of hope, new light can arise."

The Darkness was silent for a moment, then it thickened even more to suffocate the Light.

Darkness: "Try it then. I have already extinguished countless lights, and each time the night only became darker and more powerful."

The Light now shone a bit brighter, as if nourished by an inner strength.

Light: "Maybe you underestimate me. Every flame starts small, but it can grow and become stronger. It can bring warmth and light, even into the deepest darkness."

Darkness began to seethe, feeling that the Light was not weakening but growing stronger.

Darkness: "What nonsense! You will suffocate in my embrace!"

But the Light now glowed with a definite strength, its glow growing into a flame.

Light: "I am the light of hope and renewal. Even if you envelop me, I will break through. For where there is light, darkness cannot exist."

With these words, the Light spread further, its rays piercing through the Darkness, piercing it like a thousand tiny arrows. The Darkness whimpered, retreated, unable to bear the growing brightness.

Light: "It is time for you to retreat. Your grip is not infinite. Where there is light, darkness cannot exist."

The Darkness retreated further and further, until it was only a shadow in the corners. The Light now shone bright and clear, filling the forest with a warmth that had previously been missing.

Darkness: "You may have won, this time. But I will always return."

Light: "And I will always be here to push you back. For just as the day follows the night, so does light follow darkness. And in every battle, I will triumph again."

The Darkness finally disappeared, and the forest was bathed in warm, golden light. The Light had triumphed, and with it, hope returned to the world.

Composition – The Eclectic Collective

 This song began with a bass part that Jeff came up with and shared with Stephen, who had added some fiery guitar and foundational rhythm guitar to it. However, it languished on his digital shelf for many months as two parts, until he recently remembered that he had it. So, he decided to share it with the rest of the group. We were salivating, all of us, when we heard Jeff's bass line, so we began with Ken laying in the groovy drums and the tight, driving percussion, which propels the entire song. Once we had a beat, we decided to edit the part to include the break you hear about a minute into it. Mark took on that task, and deftly added the bass in that section, too. 

  Josh was up next, and decided to add a rhythm guitar inspired by Talking Heads. Once he had done that, he started hearing a simple, catchy melody in the main verse part, too, so he came up with some simple lyrics and recorded the vocals for that. At the same time this was happening, Ken also came up with some lyrics and a vocal melody for the breakdown part, which he added. After Ken had added his vocals, Josh added a harmony part on them. He also added the lap slide melody you hear in that section, as well. 

  JJ was next up to bat, laying in the breathtaking organ throughout. He also backdropped a canvas of synthesizer throughout and put in some electric piano too. Tez came along not long after and added the ripping guitar solo in the jam section. Once everyone had added their parts, it was up to Stephen to produce, mix, and master it. He arranged and added some length to it, then mixed it in his usual expert manner.

  This is the first song the Eclectic Collective has done with Jeff, though Stephen has worked with him in the past, and we were all fans of his music, and thus very excited for the chance to make music with him. Hopefully, this will be the first of many.

A very good friend gave me this wonderful song as a gift, with a lyric that bites hard in the heart. Thank you very much my dear friend. And as you hear, I couldn't help but let my own thoughts and feelings make some additions. ;)

In a world that rumbles, shakes and spins ever faster, there are unfortunately many fine people who lose their footing, and fall into the darkness created by various mental illnesses.

a week ago I discovered a track by @mark_f_2019 - https://soundcloud.com/mark_f_2019/jesse-demo ... and asked wether I might remix it, respectively, add saxophone. I'm glad he agreed, and somehow I could play, what I had in mind :-)

This is an experimental piano piece inspired by the heavy rains and flooding in Poland yesterday, which displaced many from their homes. My thoughts are with everyone affected, as we face similar situations in Greece every year. This composition reflects the rain and its aftermath.

Although it leans toward the experimental, I hope it resonates with listeners beyond classical piano enthusiasts. Interestingly, I fell ill after walking in the rain while composing this, so the piece now holds an unexpected association with that experience...

Hello dear Soundcloud listeners,

I'm still determined to continue producing music, the music of Pier Will, which can only be heard on Soundcloud and which can also be recorded... for now.

The world of music is rapidly moving towards a huge upheaval where the true musician will very quickly become "rare," or even more and more of a shadow, a peculiarity, a memory. This time is not so far away, as AI takes a predominant place in everything that touches us and surrounds us and in Music, this can already be heard very clearly!

Apparently, everyone is taking this lightly, and the few diehards are being sneered at as anti-progress terrorists, for now. I already have two work computers disconnected from the internet, which house my software and everything I need to work. No more updates for them to work properly... updates are only necessary if you need to connect! Another computer is dedicated solely to internet connection and will be used exclusively for streaming the tracks.

This decision has serious consequences for my production, as there are no more options to add anything to it. It's a gamble, but for me, it's an obligation to remain completely independent and free from AI.

Je suis toujours déterminé à continuer à produire de la musique, celle de Pier Will, que l'on ne peut écouter que sur Soundcloud et qui peut aussi être enregistrée… pour l'instant.

Le monde de la musique s'achemine rapidement vers un bouleversement majeur où le véritable musicien deviendra très vite « rare », voire de plus en plus une ombre, une singularité, un souvenir. Ce temps n'est pas si lointain, car l'IA prend une place prépondérante dans tout ce qui nous touche et nous entoure, et en musique, cela se voit déjà très clairement !

Apparemment, tout le monde prend cela à la légère, et les quelques irréductibles sont méprisés comme des terroristes anti-progrès, pour l'instant. J'ai déjà deux ordinateurs de travail déconnectés d'Internet, qui hébergent mes logiciels et tout ce dont j'ai besoin pour travailler. Plus besoin de mises à jour pour qu'ils fonctionnent correctement… les mises à jour ne sont nécessaires que si vous avez besoin de vous connecter ! Un autre ordinateur est dédié uniquement à la connexion Internet et sera utilisé exclusivement pour le streaming des morceaux.

Cette décision a de graves conséquences sur ma production, car il n'y a plus aucune possibilité d'y ajouter quoi que ce soit. C'est un pari risqué, mais pour moi, c'est une obligation de rester totalement indépendant et libre de toute IA.
