Tulips, bicycles, canals, history, fine art, DJs, and most of all the Dutch people make Amsterdam and the Netherlands a place I could easily call home. 

But Amsterdam is more than a place to me — it’s a symbol of the joy of finding community, of sharing and thriving with people who support one another. Hopefully you can do that right where you live. As ever this Armadillo music was entirely improvised live, on the spot, for the moment, the mood, the people and the vibe.

This one’s from 3rd March 2025. It’s a 10 minute section taken from a chilled funky groove, part of an hour and a half of improvisation live at the Feather Star.

Don’t expect a 3 minute pop song! …but music to put on and leave on... and be drawn in by … the groove will just keep on rolling… and the tune will just keep on wandering wherever it takes us…

Recorded in one take: guitars via LS-P5, drums on an Olympus digital dictaphone, the rest D.I.-ed. Main vocals and lead guitar fully live with other guitar layers, bass, backing vocals and horns laid down live into a Boss RC-600 looper. Drums by Lumbeats FD. (AF14)
