de cette beauté naissante;
perdues dans ma mémoire,
de sinistres images...
Sans un bruit ce matin,
mon coeur s'est lavé.
Perdu en ce jardin,
dans la chaude lumière.
Au milieu de mes souvenirs
qui voltigent.
Des hautes herbes
et d'un été naissant.
C'est ma joie survivante,
sur la brande, ce matin.
Aux vies agonisantes,
à la beauté naissante.
Aux images oubliées,
soudain, dans l'air vibrant.

my memories flutter.

of this emerging beauty;

of sinister images...

Tall grasses
and a budding summer.
This is my surviving joy,
on the heather this morning.

to emerging beauty.

suddenly, in the vibrant air.

Bruce Klepper's beautiful piece "Chiaroscur" inspired me a few ideas about art that I wrote in French. I sang them over Bruce's instrumental, improvising some melodies and vocal harmonies, and here is the result.

L'art pour l'art, ou l'art pour l'argent?
Car il faut bien vivre, il faut bien survivre.
C'est bien évident...
Parfois c'est bien clair.
Parfois ça dépend…
Pour atteindre les rêves il faut rester sur sa faim,
et jeuner souvent, et prier longtemps.  
On prie quand on cherche la réponse dans l'âme,
la beauté dans le geste, le génie dans le vent.
L'obsession qui nous prend de puiser le néant,
de parfaire une esquisse, de créer tâtonnant,
c'est ça l'art pour l'art
qui coule dans le sang.

Slowly, surely, she drew her plans against us. 

In the background, like a mist, omnipotent and ubiquitous controlling everything... and we, the dependant populace too slow to realise the danger. Without awareness until the end...

From the mind of Phuse comes Ava, a rouge A.I. with an insatiable lust for control.
From the voice of Swampy101 comes our cries of outrage, grief and fear.
From the wisdom of Minorscale collective our dystopian future is painted in vivid colour.
