Andre Sobota returns to microCastle for the labels 30th overall release. The Brazilian producer has continued to impress since his hugely successful 'Surrounded By Time' EP from the summer of 2012. Andre's unique melodic sound has been enchanting electronic music fans over the first half of 2013 and he continues to be a firm favourite of Above and Beyond, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Eric Prydz and Markus Schulz. We're thrilled to have Andre back on microCastle for his second EP entitled 'Pulsatilla' which includes 3 brand new original productions with remixes from: Henry Saiz, Electric Rescue and 16 Bit Lolitas. 
 
Andre's third and final original on the release 'Lights' would be the most techno oriented piece on the collection. Backed by a driving groove, scattered drum elements and a wavering hypnotic energy which is totally infectious 'Lights' is the ultimate epic conclusion to the three compositions from Andre. The lone remix of 'Lights' comes from 16 Bit Lolitas who are returning to microCastle for their 11th overall appearance. The Dutch duo's 'Personal Space' (released in 2010) has been one of microCastle's best selling tracks and their recent Warung Brazil and Supermarket albums have been fan favourites over the last year. For their 'Lights' interpretation 16 Bit Lolitas have delivered one of their most musical creations to date. An intricate sounding groove sits at the foundation while warm bassy swells and blissful themes carry the track to the main break. The post rock style interlude goes down as one of 16 Bit Lolitas finest moments. A slow building wave of majestic sounding melody that crescendos with a divine, invigorating force that will leave you thoroughly elated.

Such a blue chip list extends further with the best-selling remix of Coldplay and Rihanna's "Princess of China" which elevated Sobota further still to the highest echelons of modern producer.

A regular on BBC Radio, "Aura" was featured on Matt Zo's Radio 1 "Essential Mix", while the forthcoming "Astral Lady" on Anjunadeep recently received support from Simon Patterson on the "BBC Radio 1's Residency".

Proton Music has also become a welcome stopover on the course of Andre Sobota's musical voyage. The "Outside" EP hit New Year's Eve parties at the start of 2010, going on to receive stellar remixes from the likes of Kassey Voorn and Ryan Davis while "One Day Out" and "Unreal" shone in luminescent beauty later that year. 2014 marked a return with a glorious remix of Tvardovsky's "Hope" and it is with real pleasure that Proton Music welcomes back Andre Sobota with "Signal", his first original new music for the label in four years.

Full of trademark galloping rhythms, the melodic poise with which "Signal" quickly hits its stride is a joy to behold. Emotionally charged, Sobota's dance floor energy is a fundamental component that drives emotive melodies in effortless fashion to create an intelligent work of captivating beauty.

Andre Sobota is a name that needs no introduction to fans of the progressive sound. His last release on Perfecto Black, Astral Lady, was a prime example of his talents and was heavily supported by Gabriel and Dresden amongst many others. People is Andre at his progressive best. An infectious, warm, hypnotic bassline, complemented by uplifting yet haunting vocals, ultimately combining with a lead riff that fans of the Perfecto Black sound will welcome with open arms. 
An absolute gem. As expected by Andre.

COSMAKS - FIRST BREATH EP [PHW271]

It’s about time for another release through our PHW imprint, and we are excited to see the return of an artist that glanced on the scene during the past year. Being a stellar figure on our label lately with a couple of productions hitting the stores through us, we welcome back a brand new EP created by the French producer, Cosmaks. This time, his shining with 3 fresh cuts, all in a different mood and texture. 

The title track, “First Breath” is a wonderful ride from start to finish, packed with emotional melodic arrangements, fresh vocal additions and an overall smooth and dreamy texture. He proves every time what he is capable of, and this is another fresh winner from the French producer. 

Second to that, as we browse through the new EP, we land at the next track, named as “When It All Began”. This is a truly different story, where you are to hear and witness another side of his musical productions. With a dreamy and melodic touch, perfectly created to start of a journey of creativity. Fresh drums, lovely synth riffs and everything in between is taking you places, that we assure you about. 

The third and final production on this EP, baptized as “Perspective” is taking you back to his roots, melody driven progressive house that is speaking our language. If melodies and chord progressions is your thing, then he definitely has nailed it for you, to have a lovely sun-drenched production to play around with this summer.
