I decided to re-vamp one of my most popular tunes...  I gave it a BIGGER bassline, tighter drums, louder vocals, etc... but I still wanted to keep the funkiness of the original...  I'm very excited to finally re-release it, because the ACAPELLA is on the 12-inch.  It's gonna be SO AWESOME to hear what people mix the acapella with...  hehehehe...

Solid Steel in association with Serato (19th February) Our guests in Hour 2 are Krankbrother, who are brothers, DJ's, producers and run a label and monthly London party, which alongside Phonica Records is happening this weekend on 20th Feb at Fire, with our guest in Hour 1 Prins Thomas and previous guest Axel Boman. They had this to say about their mix;
"After both spending ages going through our record collections, we settled in for a listening session in our office behind our bar in East London. After playing each other a load of records and drinking a load of whiskey we realised two things. Firstly, that we had way too much music to fit on a mix, and secondly there was a lot of variety in what we’d chosen. A selector's curse made even worse by the fact there are two of us. So from there we tried to piece together as many of these records as we could whilst still allowing the mix to develop in a smooth organic way. We didn’t want the mix to jump around too erratically so we made a lot of edits to help it flow. The records we ended up choosing are a little bit of what we play and love from the last 40 years spanning acid, disco, new wave, afro beat, indie and techno. Despite the mix being quite retrospective, on a more personal level, the mix will always mark a very special moment in time for us. Shortly after we made our way to our homes from that very listening session, Kieran’s wife went into labour.  Off they went off to the hospital, Kieran on two hours sleep and a whiskey head and shortly after we welcomed yet another Clancy boy into the family.”

Was wäre das Leben ohne wahre Freunde? NICHTS !!!

Es gibt einfach Menschen die haben ihr Herz genau am richtigem Fleck. Dazu zählt definitiv mein Brother in Crime Martin Saupe. Und das nicht nur weil er genauso wie ich der elektronische Musik verfallen ist, sondern weil man genau weiß, wenn es wirklich hart auf hart kommt kann man sich auf Ihn verlassen. Dabei sind wir erst seit gut 3 Jahren wirklich befreundet … aber es gibt so Menschen denen läuft man das erst mal über den Weg und hat das Gefühl als würde man sie schon seit Jahrzehnten kennen. So passiert mit dem Martin auf einer Afterhour Sounds Party in der Nähe von München und auch genau das Projekt hat uns zusammengeschweißt.

Als nun ein Künstler aus meiner Liste meinte er könnte mir zum dritten Mal den Podcast bei mir absagen, meinte Martin „eh scheiß drauf ich mach dir was ganz Besonderes“. Und was soll ich sagen Martin hat sich 3 Wochen Zeit genommen und Sound gesammelt und wieder verworfen und aufgenommen und dutzende Versionen erzeugt, bis er meinte so jetzt ist es das besondere Set.

Hey Martin echt schön das uns die Musik zusammengebracht hat und MEGA STARK das es DICH gibt ;-) Und meinen Hörern wünsch ich nun maximalste Unterhaltung wie Martin immer so schön zu sagen pflegt.
