F430-Solide (Kapteyn Remix)

Another song 50 years in the making.  The Dutch rock group "Focus" wrote an instrumental named "Sylvia" around 1974.  Sylvia was clearly album filler, but I loved the melody, and wrote lyric for it shortly after I heard it.  Paul Newett took the lyric without hearing the instrumental, and wrote new melodies and instrumental.  It was not impressive to musicians, but I "covered" the song in Suno.ai, and I'm very pleased with the result.  There is no trace of the original instrumental left in the song.

This is something I've had in mind for a while, and was planning to put it out for Halloween, but I'm really slow.  It's a macabre spoken word thing about a travelling circus that's a little 'off' in dark and unsettling ways that you can't quite put your finger on. Originally I thought it would sound good as an old timey Delta Blues with acoustic guitar accompaniment. But since I can't play, I enlisted the help of a fellow Soundcloud artist whose music I admire, Remnant60 (@remnant60). It just so happened Bill had previously posted a guitar track that he left open for collaboration. I downloaded his track, but it was left on the shelf for a while, until this came along, and I thought it was a perfect fit. 
It kind of borders on the edge of creepy cool and just hokey. But it's a fun bit of storytelling, and I'm grateful to Remnant60 for letting me tinker with his wicked slide guitar track. 
I strongly recommend listening to this with headphones for the full effect.

PREMIERE: Esgo - Hellébore

A laid-back road-trip soundtrack from Volant Records, written for long, lazy drives that still need a little momentum.

Every track is a long-form instrumental built to live under a racing game or a summer highway: indie-folk and Americana backroads, jazz-bossa coastlines, nu-disco and deep-house sunsets, lo-fi and post-rock night runs. Pieter Rotthier - Belgian artist, based in Antwerp. He produces electronic music, a blend of techno, house, ambient and experimental electronics. His music has often a darker or more melancholic vibe, often mixing synths with more organic sounds like piano, strings and brass. It is danceable, but it also serves as a soundtrack for movies, that yet have to be made.

Quick on the drawing is also a visual artist, making drawings (hence the name), paintings and illustrations. The artwork of the tracks are exclusively made by Quick on the drawing.
