The first release by Lingerwalt (Wout Vandenbergh) on MONTAGE draws from the idea of fragmentation, the collapse of a certain entity on a physical and personal level. Comminution is a term used for a complex fracture that almost never completely heals. A litteral fragmentation of a bone.

After an agitated night and some less thought-through choices, Lingerwalt wakes up with a broken hand. The resulting fracture forced him to take a step back and to reconsider his actions. A certain frustration found it’s way into this EP. A frustration with actions and effects. A broken hand no longer plays the piano.

The tracks on this EP bring the more sensitive, daring vision on club culture which MONTAGE stands for.

Psilentze is the soundtrack to a storyline that blends characters, scenes and objects to a point were the viewer can’t distinguish what’s happening in the past, present or future. Taped piano fragments pull back and forth while grasping onto a saturated beat. An oddly rearranged Bulgarian choir pushes the song further into transcending spheres.
