The Space EP artwork is a photograph taken by Jan Erik Waider at Hoffellsjökull glacial lagoon in Iceland, which is part of Vatnajökull National Park. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us. As the A2 offering on Erwin’s Ceylon EP - the second release on his boutique imprint Arepas Records - “Coconut Sambal” stands out as one of the EP’s most emotive and immersive dishes. While the label continues its culinary-inspired storytelling and collectible artwork concept, the music itself remains the true flavour carrier. And here, Erwin cooks up something deep, melodic, and quietly intoxicating.

“Coconut Sambal” drifts in on a warm, padded groove, immediately setting a dreamy tone while keeping one foot firmly in the dancefloor. The percussion stays understated yet precise, leaving space for the track’s defining elements to unfold: glowing synth lines that ebb and flow like slow waves, hints of Acid that curl around the edges without overpowering, and soft vocal phrases that add a human, almost meditative tenderness.

This blend - Deep House foundations, melodic sensitivity, light Acid breath, and vocal warmth - creates a piece that feels both introspective and inviting. Its been a busy time for Rob Hes since his last appearance on SCI+TEC just over a year ago. His EP ‘The Prophecy’ kicked off a strong run of releases that’s seen him feature on Tronic, ELEVATE, KD Raw and a debut with Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings. Today the Dutchman returns to SCI+TEC with his latest wares and shows he’s learnt even more ’Tricks of The Trade’.

The cavernous feeling of the title track envelops the listener while its echoing gong and rolling bassline create its fierce groove. Rob ramps things on ‘Who’s The Wolf’, with its sinister synths devastating drive, before we’re treated to the bouncing single note melody and fantastic finalé of ‘The Greater Good’.

We are happy to tell you that our next release will be a compilation with five tracks from excellent artists on board with the perfect name 'The Variety Of The Mind'. For this first V.A. release we could win no one less than Piemont, fran&co, Hermanez, Matchy & Bott and Andlee & Kollektiv KlangGut.
With track number one of our compilation, 'Alive', Piemont deliver a tech house bomb just as ex-pected. The two guys create a fantastic build-up and let it explode afterwards. Everything is accom-panied by groovy arp sequences and flying vocal pieces.
When the bassline of 'Shah Parvaz' by fran&co comes in, it just makes you get up and dance. Short-ly after an intense break with hypnotic vocals comes in and creates tension. A captivating synth se-quence accompanies the track and finally oriental flute sounds come in, turning this piece into some-thing really unique.
'Mutation' by Hermanez gives us different percussive sounds swirling around the room. Additional-ly, a shuffling 16th beat and modulating synth sounds make this wonderfully spacy track sound very alive and energetic.
Matchy & Bott bring in the 'Luvvibe', starting with a forward-driven bassline, powerful snares, claps and shakers. A short female vocal sequence with a lot of space marks the central element of this beautiful melancholic composition.
The track name 'So Strong' is right on the spot for the contribution of Andlee & Kollektiv KlangGut. A bass which is housy and dark at the same time and a hypnotic vocal turn this music piece into a real dance floor killer. Forward-pushing hi-hats coming in in the middle making it even more driving and ravy.

His music is a raw, unadulterated mix of tech house and techno that you can always count on shaking things up at the party. CJ goes dark and gritty with loads of funk on his new EP on @yoshitoshi entitled "Eye Contact"

The title track is nothing short of gargantuan. Its heavy, driving bass riffs and pounding drums are pulled straight from the techno bible, and CJ combines them with distorted vocals and acid square wave riffs that keep it lively over a big bottom end that roars through subwoofers like a monster.
