Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

Fresh from their huge remix of Florian Kruse &amp; Hendrik Burkhard on Noir Music, Pleasurekraft steam into 2016 with a huge two-track debut on Nicole Moudaber&#8217;s MOOD. 
With MOOD releases featuring heavily in the US/Swedish duo&#8217;s sets and Pleasurekraft bombs ignited by Nicole most weekends, it was only a matter of time before a release of this magnitude hit us&#8230; And it&#8217;s a match made in rolling techno heaven. 
&#8216;Defiler&#8217; is wonderfully wrong from the off; even the title suggests the sleaziest, slinkiest, sweatiest late night sessions. By the time the vocal sample murmurs its intent over a slippery, spacious, star-gazing bassline, we&#8217;re locked. Cue tight textures of percussion - rollers and shakers a go-go - it&#8217;s a heads down hypnosis session until sun-up with all the right dynamic elements to keep us twisting. 
&#8216;There Is No Safe Word&#8217; takes us deeper into Pleasurekraft&#8217;s devilish playground. A thunderous, unrelenting drum arrangement takes the lead here with demonic down-pitched vocal textures and vortex shredding swoops and FX adding colour, character and suspense before a precision build-up proceeds to tear a new hole in the spacetime continuum. Safe words? Where we&#8217;re going we don&#8217;t need safe words&#8230; 
Just weeks into 2016 and already MOOD and Pleasurekraft have delivered something to the last the whole year through. Sleeping on this is impossible.

Over the past few years, CJ Jeff has become and integral part of the Yoshitoshi roster, first with his remix of Eddie Amador’s “6AM” and then with his debut label EP Pitch Black. His music is a raw, unadulterated mix of tech house and techno that you can always count on shaking things up at the party. CJ goes dark and gritty with loads of funk on his new EP on @yoshitoshi entitled "Eye Contact"

The title track is nothing short of gargantuan. Its heavy, driving bass riffs and pounding drums are pulled straight from the techno bible, and CJ combines them with distorted vocals and acid square wave riffs that keep it lively over a big bottom end that roars through subwoofers like a monster.

Italian techno imprint Unrilis returns with a brand new single from the heavyweight pairing of Markantonio and Roberto Capuano, featuring two sterling remixes from Luigi Madonna..Rino Cerrones Rilis and Unrilis labels have been a staple of the techno landscape for over a decade now, releasing searing, floorfilling music from Cerrone and some of the scenes leading lights. Now Unrilis looks again to techno heavyweight Markantonio for its latest single, a single that sees the Neapolitan DJ/producer team up with young production talent Roberto Capuano who has already had such success on labels such as Analytic Trail & Driving Forces.This new EP opens with Pearl a superbly hypnotic, pulsing techno workout that fuses rumbling bass tones with skittering percussion to create the base for the intense synth stabs that rise from the mix, quality stuff. Pearl is followed by the second of the two original tracks Gem, which is a fitting title for this outstanding piece of techno: deep and aggressive, the track layers white noise over an industrial soundtrack to come up with a no holds barred record that ticks all the right boxes.The EP is completed with two remixes of Pearl from fellow Italian producer Luigi Madonna, a man who has been making a solid name for himself with releases on Marco Baileys MB Elektronics, Hawtins Plus 8 and Adam Beyer Drumcode to name but a few.
