Catalog number 33 proudly welcomes Tel Aviv's Ran Salman to the Radikon Family. The veteran Israeli live act and producer makes a strong entrance with his powerfully energetic 3-track 'Utopia EP'

'Utopia' launches off first and quickly sets the pace with rapid-fire percussive synths and staccatos and a strong progressive bassline. Skillfully layered dark pads and highly infectious vocal chops lend an ethereal quality to this precision package of dancefloor ordnance.

Next up is 'Clarity', where the pace slows down and organic, natural sounds sweeten and soften the vibe, evoking the fiery sunset of a distant blue horizon. A dramatic lead cuts through the sky and hopeful arpeggios soar like a brilliant cluster into the newborn night.

Finally, 'Delusion' closes the package with a hypnotizing bassline wrapped around crystal-clear drums and tight percussion, which gradually give way to an expanding lead that grows ever larger, flanked by rich harmonies that will transport consciousness far and away.

'Utopia EP' is a strong showing for Ran Salman, delivering rock-solid grooves and plenty of emotion to inspire and move you on the dancefloor and beyond.

We have been utterly swept up in the dawless/hardware approach to music making lately, and that led to our discovery of this wonderful duo from Helsinki. They crafted an incredibly raw yet melodic body of work with a signature sound that fits well within our label ethos and pushes the genre in cool new directions. Auringonkukilla

An obsessive collector of quality electronic music since the early 90s, Mike Dowson A.K.A Marvo has stayed true to the underground for 25 years…

Starting out as a warm up DJ in the golden age of British Deep House, Marvo has been in the right place at the right time when it comes to amassing quality records, and has continued to follow cutting edge of electronic music to this day.

The combination of fresh beats and tried and tested records collected over the years is what sets some DJ’s apart from the crowd.

With releases on Evasive Records and Woodwork Recordings Canada and a string of releases as part of Deaf By Dawn, Mike is no stranger to production and runs his own recording studio in Darlington- PVR Studios.

You can expect to hear fresh boutique beats alongside timeless tracks and undiscovered gems from the past as Marvo opens “The Vault”.

Pihka Is My Name are a Finland-based duo who combine analogue synthesizers, hypnotic piano patterns and cinematic orchestrations. Band members are composer-pianist Henna Helasvuo and producer-sound designer Lasse Turunen.

The band is fronted by animation character called Pihka, an imaginary friend who is not needed anymore. She finds herself forgotten in a snow covered forest, sets off on an adventure and sees all the busy humans with their problems, the most pressing of which is the Climate Emergency.

Pihka Is My Name self-released their debut album ‘Everything Is In Between’ to very positive reviews in March 2021. It was followed up ‘Dance Forbidden EP’, released via Taiwan-based Mettāsonic label in January 2022.
