Truth Radio is proud to present the first EP of a producer from Melbourne’s electronic scene: @michaelmouse360

The EP, ’Still Sick’ contains 4 original compositions intended for the after hours dancefloor. The EP pulls inspiration from house, old school four-on-the-floor thumpers, and Memphis rap, all compressed together.

Side A begins with “Still Sick” a pumping track, pairing melodic pads with thick low end. Following this, "Kilos" comes kicking in the door with a fresh baseline groove, mixed with Memphis vocals to make you move.

 Side B doesn’t disappoint as ‘Club Up’ combines vintage, worn out pads and driving low end, with classic 909 hi-hats slicing through the mix. To bring you all the way is ‘Back To Us’, a musing on the meaning of life and death; a must listen. Thanks Ricky.

The mysterious talents Antenna shows their tough, high impact house sound for their second release on the Dutch Pinkman label. 
First up, Childhood is a mid tempo bit of elastic, groove driven house with whirring machines, raw synth patterns and filtered, muffled vocals. Hi hats add an incendiary element of pressure but really this one is all about the pinging, rubbery drums that flail like drunken limbs. 
When I Read My Book is another purposeful offering riddled with melody and deep drums, slapping claps and lots of jittery cow bells, impish synth sounds and bass kills that brings a real sense of energy to proceedings. Lastly, In August is a tripped out cut with skipping kick drums, celestial and heavenly, glassy melodies and skittish percussion that all glide along in alluring and off kilter fashion. This is house music, but not as you know it!

To be released in September together with a repress of PNKMN06 - Antenna - Odessa.

Soul Of Sorrow ®

The Lobster white label series finally gets back into gear with a sublime five-track scorcher from core London member Luke Palmer aka Ozel AB. 

After firing some deafening shots with last year's Crimes EP - which burrowed deep into some seriously trippy and journey'd house, techno and acid -Valis sees Palmer develop those evolving arrangement ideas across five very different soundboards that bring his signature brain-fuzzed deepness, rubbery acid and dubbed-out sound design to the fore. 

Allejo is the morphing club slayer, built on a stack of crystalline synths that slowly breakaway into a gutter full of tumbling basslines and shuttered chord stabs. Proper heat that's been battered by the LT fam since early last year. 

Down The Cut is a deep and mysterious cut, channeling Palmer's knack for paranoid atmospheres and suspended tension into a cloak 'n' dagger style spy pursuit. All moving shadows and shifting figures under late night lamp light. 

Built around a bubbling and squelching synth loop, Glow is the central ambient skit providing a pivot point and gateway to the flip-side of the EP, where live favourite and full extended jam Stoosh 95 opens proceedings. Almost a forgotten 90's classic - if it wasn't pitched down to a dragging, groove-soaked tempo - this is Ozel AB in his most dangerous state. Forever building layers of grooves and percussive teasing, punctuated by small spoken word whispers and ending in utter euphoric bliss from the lush, sun-gleaned synths to the chopped vocal wails. File under big time room-crusher. 

Then rounding out the proceedings is the prickly Needler. Broken air con-esque blasts of foggy noise crash over a camel-humped bass-line and more late night contemplative pad work, which does a full about turn into a final minute of hazy London garage. Another little surprise to keep the toes tickled 'til next time.

After reviving his 16-bit soul with rampantly joyful and excessively hedonistic escapades in New York, the now newly-named Sonikku (casting off the DJ moniker of old and focussing purely on his namesake) takes refuge in the legendary high altitude temple, rising from the forest through the clouds and to a monumental blue-hued floating structure. Sky Sanctuary. 
Sonikku's warm, lilted audio recordings from time spent there tell a story of two Sonikku's. One, a young producer, all scorched drum carnage with fruit basket plugins that betray a balearic leaning that defied their age (the B-side). Then the second Sonikku. Pure vibes, positive waves and solid life lessons gleaned all the way from the Sky Sanctuary (A-side).

Shall Not Fade Three Years of Service gathers together nine tracks from existing and freshly signed members of the label’s growing family of artists, including Skream, Frits Wentink, DJ Boring Mella Dee, Adryiano TRP, Loods and LK. 

The collection was designed to showcase Shall Not Fade’s constantly evolving sound, with the nine featured tracks touching on a wide variety of dancefloor-centric variations of house and techno while adhering to the label’s long-held ethos (“music to make people happy and dance”).
