Hernán Torres: in 2000 I traveled to Ibiza and started listening to electronic music, at that time what I liked the most, was the progressive house and deep house and I was delighted with the parties that took place on the island, Bora Bora, Space, Amnesia, Privilege, and others. I returned to Argentina and in 2003 I began to try to get into the subject, hand in hand with friends who worked playing music, with styles that had nothing to do with what I wanted to do and music that I would not listen to, but it was the only way to know that it was within my grasp at the time. I found out, in 2005 and 2006 he was playing at Naif, El Fifth Element, Lounge Amigos, Nix, Sistro, Radio Box 102.9 then at the same one with another name Radio Beach 102.9 in Mar del Plata, in these places doing Progressive House. sessions, that was for 2 years. I retired for a while. In 2006 I traveled to Lima (Peru) and played in Cabash (Playa el Silencio), Mangos (Larcomar), Bartini (Larcomar), Nodo Fusion, Beats on the Beach Fest & Creamfields (Mamacona), Isil Radio (La Molina). these venues played Minimal Techno, Progressive House, Tech House, and Deep House. I retired for a while, in 2018 I started doing sessions for House Beats Radio Station (England). I spent 1 year with Sounds & Frequencies, I went to Clubbers Radio (Spain) and I've been there for almost 2 years. At that time I joined my musical brother Alex Xiasou who joined Sounds & Frequencies, thanks to his experience in production and patience, we are currently starting to produce for labels such as Superordinate Music, Another Life Music, Aletheia Recordings, 3rd Avenue.  Neonius Records, Dimka Records, Inner Shah Recordings, Soundscapes Digital, Addictive Sounds, and FlatGroove Records, Now on Must Radio Athens (Athens) Clubbers Radio (Spain) with Sounds & Frequencies and on Beach Radio UK with the Main Room radio program, On These radio shows, Sounds & Frequencies and Main Room we have fancy guests, for example, Robert Babicz, George Ledakis, Sigma PR, Bynomic, Contribute Translation and more.

Born in Galati, Riel is an independent DJ but also an electronic music producer, he began his career in early 2007, influenced by sounds like a house, disco, and funk. Since its inception tube, a good response from his audience, and this helped him to be characterized by his immense charisma and energy at the time of their presentations. 

Embodies the essence of tribal and afro sounds. He grew up in an atmosphere of African rhythms that he is authentically overlaying on house music. Armed with a plethora of percussive instruments, along with soul-awakening vocals recorded in various areas in Africa, he sprays the musical scene with his organic signature sound.

BSV: Hello Dario! The concept of these guest mixes is to alternate artists from native speaking area and artists across the planet in order to spread the common “worldwide” vibe. You've been on electronic music scene for a long time. Are you aware that hardly anyone in the Balkans knows about you?
DARIO SUERTE: Hi, and thanks for having me on your show. Yes, it’s been a while since I first started releasing music, but I haven’t really given much thought to the fact that I’m basically anonymous in the Balkans concerning the whole electronic music scene. I guess I’m kind of a quiet guy, not really active on social media so it’s quite easy to go under the radar that way, but I can’t really say that it’s a good thing because you really need to be pushy to leave your mark in this line of work. Perhaps my approach to music is different because I don’t consider this work at all. It’s all about your inner-self, your emotions, state of mind, hopes and dreams, it’s part of who you are and not what you do. I did a couple of ex-yu remixes recently and posted them on youtube and got a really positive feedback. So I guess my Balkan fanbase is just starting to grow.

BSV: Please describe the feeling when you rendered your first track and when was that?
DARIO SUERTE: Like I said, it’s been quite a while since I started experimenting with music, but my first official release was back in 2008 under the alias Effective Thief. Being accepted to your first label and having your track released to the world is a unique experience, like the first time when you score a goal as a kid, or graduate from high school. It’s definitely a milestone in a musicians life.

BSV: Favorite effect? Is that filter?
DARIO SUERTE: This is a tough question. It really depends on the mood and genre of the track, but if I were to pick something out of the effects bundle I’d definitely say reverb and delay. There’s just some mystical feeling to the synth or drum you play when you add some of these two effects to them.

BSV: You were quite productive in last few months. Inspiration comes from?
DARIO SUERTE: Yes, I’ve had maybe 5 or 6 releases in the last couple of months. I mostly draw my inspiration from introspection. I enjoy daydreaming, deep conversations over wine, losing myself in music, nature, and having a positive outlook on life, so I guess I can say that I’m content with myself and my life in general. I tend to see beauty in everything and everything is inspirational to me…

BSV: How was this mix recorded?
DARIO SUERTE: During my previous years of DJ-ing I’ve experimented with various genres and styles of electronic music, but honestly I’ve always been loyal to the deeper sides of house music. So, I usually spend some of my free time to search for underground deep tech house, minimal, and deep tech tunes and do a mix session at home.

BSV: So, emotions guide you in production and mixing?
DARIO SUERTE: Yes, it’s a way of expressing my inner-self and parts of my mind and soul I can’t express with words and actions. It’s like peeking through a window and having a look at the hidden side of me.

BSV: Upcoming “Bliss” release is scheduled for @beatsoundvisions. Why BSV and where did you find us?
DARIO SUERTE: I’ve ran across your music online and had the impression that “Bliss” might work for your label just right. This is the second time I’m having my music released for a Serbian label and I’m really excited about the fact that more people in the Balkans might hear it. Fingers crossed!
